...when you're Apparition drawn by Tony Harris that is... I don't know if this one's been covered here - looked around briefly and didn't see it. And I've only got up thru #26 - waiting on my next shipment, which I'm guessing will back this up. (Here, will try to include 'em here) Check out the cover to #25, the interiors to #25 pencilled by Tony Harris, and the cover to #29. I've seen alotta different flying poses in my many years reading comics, but Tony's new pose for Apparition, well, y'know, it just doesn't look comfy! Is Tinya really just THAT frustrated with her mom (and/or Jo?!) that she can't even fly around without her arms crossed and fists clenched?? LOL Don't get me wrong, I LOOOOVE Tony's work, especially how it's evolved these days... Just thought I'd see if anyone else had noticed this.

I had not noticed that. It is one weird way to fly. I wonder if DnA requested it or if Chris or Tony came up with it. And I wonder if they have an explanation of why.

I'm not sure - I didn't notice it in any of the Chris Batista panels.... I think if I tried flying, er, walking around like that all day, I'd have balance issues or something? I know, I know....it's probably not something anyone really noticed. Color me anal retentive I guess.... Just an eye for detail!

BTW Lightning Lad - just outta curiousity, why can't I ever get to your site? I'm curious to see it, but it always times out. (And, hey, was Brendan Frasier used as the original image in that avatar of yours??)

I never fly that way.
My preference is the hands out front method, to fend of bugs and stuff.

LOL I also noticed that the images of Kid Quantum, Saturn Girl, and Cosmic Boy on the cover of #29 are recycled from/in Secret Files (as others have pointed out already) -- but don't Jazmin and Cos look a little too, I dunno, amused or happy for this particular scene?

Its down for now due to server problems again. I may see if Gary will let me borrow some of the space here just so I don't lose my presence on the web. As for my avatar the original image is one of Ingo Radamacher. He plays Jasper "Jax" Jacks on the soap General Hospital. I wish I still had the larger version but with LegionPics being image free now I don't have it.

LOL Blockade Boy - good point! And it helps to have towels hanging from either side of your Legion belt.
Fly around.
Block bugs from getting stuck in teeth.
Land.
Wipe hands on towels, then proceed to wave at adoring fans!
And speaking of flying, I just read JLA: Scary Monsters 1-6 (man, did that suck!) and one of the issues had Superman flying in *the girliest pose* I'd ever seen! I don't remember which one right now, but it just looked wrong!

Oh gosh, that's funny. Good eye, Jephers! Maybe Tinya's just cold, flying through space like that!
White. A blank page or canvas. His favorite. So... many... possibilities.

Bugs, you say? Or micrometeorites? Or even winds blasting into your eyes? All you have to do is turn on your local telekinetic aura to sweep it all out of your way.
Oh, you don't HAVE a local telekinetic aura? Sorry, I forgot that not everyone is from Starhaven ...
Anyway, what's wrong with how Apparition does it? I know I get tired of always putting my arms straight out in front of me. In deep space, gravity doesn't pull 'em "down," but still, after hours spent in a warp field doing that? Oy! Are my shoulders sore! Maybe Mon or Supes (of all varieties) doesn't feel it, but I do.

I have to admit, if I were flying around all the time, I'd be fidgety as hell, constantly changing positions. I can't even get to sleep without wiggling around a bunch, changing from one side to another, laying on my stomach with an arm over a pillow, then on the back, then back to the stomach. I'm sure I'd be a mess if I could fly!
"Oh look at that superhero flying around - it seems he's fighting some inner demons!? Maybe he's possessed and the two personalities are battling with each other?"

Maybe Tinya's just going a little 'round the bend with the aging-Cub issue, and is clutching her imaginary infant to accompany her into danger?

Maybe she's just feeling particularly modest lately.
