Color Kid rebooted?

While doing some research for some upcoming custom figures, I ran across what I consider to be a little glitch. In the reboot legion try-out issue I saw a male with a rainbow head band that I considered to be the reboot Color Kid.

Later I found a girl in the Star Boy Legends of the Legion mini series that looked like she could be the reboot Color Kid. She had a rainbow type insignia on her shirt.

Can somebody provide me some insight into these two persons as they may or may not relate to the Reboot Color Kid?

As I recall, the group of kids in Legends of the Legion were all designed by Todd Nauck to look like members of the Substitutes.

I believe they were meant to homages more than the reboots, especially seeing as how the try-out issue (Legionnaires #43) had already come out with Night Girl being repeatedly used in that issue along with Polar Boy. Heck, they even showed up again in Legionnaires #49, elluding to having formed their own group of "poor substitutes."

Color Kid, Chlorophyll Kid, and Stone Boy all showed up in the background as well during the try-out issue, or at least individuals who look like them. The cover to that try-out issue also featured Infectious Lass and Antennae Boy somewhere in the background, both of whom also had 'Sub children' counterparts in the Legends story.

Infectious Lass also appeared as an adult on the cover of LEGIONNAIRES 43, as well as having her image used on a small child in the LEGENDS mini.

Y'know, I never thought I'd say this, but... I might miss the reboot Legion. Some of those issues were pretty fun.

That same Legends issue gave us Doro, the closest thing we got to a reboot Calamity King!
