You know he's gonna show up. He's only one of the most popular members. Plus he's gotten a raw deal I think since the Levitz days. I haven't really been happy with what they have done with him since those long gone great days. Barry does the hi-tech stuff pretty good IMO and I liked the last take on his costume. You guys think it's gonna Cockrum big boots classic Wildfire or armor 3004 WF? As I said I rather have the armored look BUT pls don't make him short and skinny like most of the current Legion. He's not a teenager he's invisible anti-matter. lol

Keen pics Drake but I want a Wildfire that looks more lavalamp-y. Who doesn't like lavalamps?

Drake I love the "cyclops" look man! I liked the botomm one as well...especially the black. Maybe a combo of both. An armored look with black instead of the metallic. Love the gloves on the bottom one as well.
ActorLad lol @lavalamps. But now that you mention it...Barry has been doing coool stuff with costumes glowing...Wildfire seems a prime candidate for this. But Drake seems to have beat us to the punch with the armored glowing WF! Great job Drake!

I like the bottom of the three best, though I was a bit partial to the costume he wore in the reboot.

Who else could get away with total orange and red costume but Wildfire? I like the helmet with the "clear" face panel, but it makes me wonder - how does he see? Does he need a helmet panel, or is that just to make him seem more corporeal? Wouldn't an energy being just sense the e-m spectrum?

I always liked the costume worn by Squire Burroughs in LSH V4, #40; I liked the different color and modified design and thought Drake would look interesting in that suit.

I drew this a while ago as a friend as a kind of meeting of the pre- & post-boot Wildfires. I wanted to put a star emblem on the front but he didn't want it... Think it would've been a lot better with some decoration on that breastplate... Edited to add: Oops... Drake: those pictures rock! I like the 'classic drake' look at the top best, although if you applied the red/orange colours to elements of the bottom two, you'd have an excellent design (IMHO)...

He should be a girl this time!
The LEGION chicks need a heavy-hitter, and Wildfirella is the perfect choice!
If Star Boy can be a brother, then Wildfire can be a sister!

Of previous Wildfires, I prefer the DnA armor.
I can see Lash's idea... why not?

What if nobody... even the character... knew what gender he/she originally was?
The accident that created Wildfire would be the starting point, his or her discovery of his/her identity would be the character's initial journey.
It'd be interesting if Dawnstar was in the mix.
No 'multiple' IDs, though.

Sounds interesting...all of the above. BUT after my the last reboot just gave me Drake Burroughs shapeless invisible energy with an attitude and a suit! Like the Thing...Drake isn't a guy I'd change much if at all. Costume I would...i'd like an armor. Hey Barry are you gonna use a armor or spandex on Wildfire?

Wildfire is definately a Legionnaire I'd like to see with as little change as possible. I love the classic suit too, although I like your third pic Drake!
Some minor updates to the classic costume would be pretty cool...
Once again, Wildfire is the Legionnaire I'd like to see moreso than any other.

It's hard to stray from Cockrum's design, but the more I forced myself, the more I realized Wildfire has enough identifiable elements that there's felxibility in other areas. Coipel's redesign was a big departure, but I loved that outfit too. Originally posted by Cobalt Kid: Wildfire is the Legionnaire I'd like to see moreso than any other. I'd like to see a cross between his armored look and the "Firestorm" look of the post-Quislet era. It'd make an interesting silhouette, with all that excess energy venting.

I'd like to see Drake enter the Legion comic still a human, but with energy powers. Then have his 'accident' happen during a mission. I think it would be nice to see how he adjusts to the change (I love his portrayl in Legion Lost...pretty much the only thing I like about that series )

I like that, GL!
He could even be assumed to be a different character, a la "Energy Boy" of Levitz days, pre-accident! Rank-and-file fans wouldn't even see it coming.

That is a good idea GL. Maybe have him a bit shy as a human. Teenage engineer gets energy power at power plant accident. He is modest and shy...but much like his first Legion encounter he "sacrifices" himself to save the team...lo and behold Wildfire is born!
Ok the "sacraficing" part may be over doing considering the last origin (which i didnt like).
