So I am reading through our encyclopedia section(awesome). I just read Mon-El's first appearance. Cool.

Looking through other issues ran across Brainiac's first appearance. Guy was shrinking cities into bottles (like Kandor?). So the recent story where they travel to Colu which uses this shrinking technology for effieciency purposes. Ah, so this is an example of Waid going back to "basics".

Lemnos has to be related to Mon-El somehow. In Mon-El's first appearance he has amnesia. The memory thing with the similiar name just has to mean something.

I can see Waid naming him Lemnos to throw us off...but the memory thing? There is a connection there somehow. His costume? The cape?

We've seen Lemnos exhibit other powers. Super strength and flight right? hmmm

Hhmmmmmm..

I just hope they all get their full memories back at the end of this arc, I mean - they remember each other, Triplicate Girl remembers her past, Nura remembers her prophetic dream and Vi remembers how to grow to human size and join in!

Personally wonder if Lemnos' name isn't just a red herring. Sneaky buggers W&K so they are laugh

"The Legion tests new applicants to replace their fallen comrade Lightning Lad. After dismissing Antennae Boy (first appearance) & The Dynamo Kid (first and only appearance), they give initiation tests to Legionnaire Lemon aka Marvel Lad. Who turns out to be Mon-El, after Brainiac 5 discovers an antidote serum for his lead poisoning, allowing him to permanently leave the Phantom Zone."

Legionnaire Lemon aka Marvel Lad aka Mon-El? Hmmm?

The Phantom Zone has to be involved somehow somewhere in all of this methinks.

Actually, the name LEMNOS is obviously an anagram of Mon-El or Lemon, with S as the Superboy connection.

I am quite sure that he will turn out to be Mon-El smile Even if he is not, let us hope that Mon-El (NOT Valor or M'onel) will eventually return.

Actually, I think the name stems from the island and the closeness to Mon-El's name is a red herring.

You mean the one she had way back in LEGION 121, Harbinger? Or the wishful thinking that Star Boy will be returned to his original "white" skin tone - i miss it soooo much! tongue urk

Lemnos is not Mon-El.

He's not.

Lemnos is ambitious and mean. Mon-El is noble.

They aren't the same guy. Period.

Noble is a good way to describe Mon-El. No I am certain that this isn't Mon-El...but it might be his body.

Amnesia and identity switcheroos are very Legion (and Shakespeare as well). Wouldn't suprise me...
