20th/21st century heroes had jobs. Even some of the teenagers did - Perez got modelling jobs for Koriand'r and Wonder Girl (which doesn't make this a Titans thread wink ).

Rokk mentioned to Pol that he might work in the mines or go back to the magno ball circuit. We learned that some of the kids in the crowd were escaping distasteful employment - so they are old enough to work. Really, shouldn't these legionnaires be self-supporting and get some part-time jobs?

B5 and B6 should be easily employable by various labs, or even set up shop for themselves. Assuming patent law still exists, they should do well.

Light Lass could run a lingerie shop.

Who is B6? I loved the mini comic in Secret Files #1 where the Time stranded Legionnaires all got jobs tongue

And therein lies the game my hard nippled friend

"B6" is Lyle. Triplicate Girl jokingly called him that in the lastest issue.

other Legionnaire jobs:
-- XS - pizza delivery
-- Ferro - doorstop
-- Karate Kid - Ultimate fighting champion
-- Ultra Boy - forklift
-- Starboy - paper weight
-- Cham - kids' parties

Really? Does the current Legion need jobs? They seem to be suffering that 60s phenomenon known as "Rich white kids who take Mom and Dad's cheque and have fun being hippies"

Saturn Girl, B5, Princess P seem to be the leading examples of this. I wonder how the kids' social/family background plays into their interactions.

It certainly does appear that many of them are from the more privileged classes, if half of them have parents who are UP delegates - not exactly a blue collar job.

I was just thinking that most superheroes - even the rich ones - do have alternate jobs, even though the job may just be a cover. A subset of this is the past experience of giving young female superheroes modelling jobs - the two Titans, as mentioned, but also Ice and Fire in the old Justice League International, or Europe ( I forget which). Comic book fantasy jobs are so exotic - does any hero have a real grind, a crappy job? You'd think if our heroes are playing the 20th century game, some might go for the job as well.

One thing that's interesting is that Cos certainlly doesn't fit that mould, if he's looking at mine work as an option. Maybe this is cushy work in the 31st century but I doubt it. (Mining has figured quite prominently as a Legionverse industry.) Whether any social class differences will be developed or ignored is another question....

Class differences have sometimes come into play in romances, e.g., Princess Projectra and Val, possibly Jeckie and Brin Londo now. Cham and Elwinda. I don't know if 3boot Imra's Mom would approve of her dating a farm boy (assuming Garth still is a farm boy), but we'll see. Shady (erstwhile hereditary planetary champion) and Ultra Boy (ganger) echo the relationship of postboot Jo and Tinya, e.g, a girl of social stature mixing it up with a low-class guy.

Dawnstar used to be the good little earner as a tracker before hooking up with the Legion.
