One of the most appealing aspects of the writing for me has been the "re-mix" of the traditional Legion couples. They have become teen-agers again playing the field! Some of the suggested combinations (or lack of combinations) are intriguing.

Here's a list of dates/relationships I recall mentioned in the first five issues:

Light Lass & Ultra Boy
Light Lass & Colossal Boy (?)
Triad & Element Lad
Triad & Sun Boy
Triad & Ultra Boy
Dream Girl & Brainiac 5 (future marriage?)
Karate Kid & Phantom Girl (sort of)
Light Lass & Timber Wolf
Shadow Lass & Ultra Boy
Timber Wolf & Princess Projectra

Not certain about Saturn Girl and Lightning Lad yet.

Lightning Lad said he was dating Saturn Girl.
We don't know what's between T-Wolf and Projectra.

Lightning Lad and Saturn Girl are a definite.

But Light Lass and Timber Wolf are not. Brin has said that he dated Lightning Lad's sister but we have yet to get confirmation that Light Lass is his sister.

Light Lass dated Sun Boy...when was something mentioned with her and Micro Lad?

When I was bored during a class, I made the following list:

Ayla + Dirk - went out
Ayla + Jo - went out ("for the ultra-love"?)
Nura + Brainy - will be married
Luornu + Dirk - went out, she invited him to her room
Luornu + Jan - same as above
Luornu + Jo - same as above, only more so
Val + Tinya - unrequited crush
Tinya + some jerk whose name I forget - former lovers, broke up
Garth + Imra - dating
Brin + Ayla - formerly dating, broke up
Brin + Jeckie - currently dating
Shady + Jo - apparently had sex

I'm thinking that these Legionnaires are like college students, in that they'll hook up with anyone in sight. Or alternately, perhaps "free love" is one of the twentieth-century customs that they've revived.

Yeah - you're absolutely right. Without issue #1 with me, I couldn't remember if it was Dirk or Gim mentioned. No word on anyone in Gim's world up to this point. Other notable Legionnaires not romantically mentioned so far are Cosmic Boy, Violet, Invisible Kid, Star Boy, Chameleon (who has been suggested as gender neutral).

By the way, I would like to see the possibilities of an Ultra Boy/Projectra romance, as was originally suggested in the Superboy Legion tale.

The one issue of Another Nail I picked up (#3) had them married with kids in later years, if memory serves.

Another Nail was the source of the Ultra Boy/Projectra romance, not Superboy's Legion, in which Jo was romancing Tinya as usual, though she was, however, a princess in that incarnation.

Jeez - You guys are right. Anymore all these "facts" are just an Elseworlds jumble for me.

While not a big continuity advocate, I appreciate the beauty of its simplicity ...

Utra Boy/Projectra could be a lot of fun if she's as aloof as she seems so far. Could be very interesting.

Wasn't it in Superboy's Legion that Lightning Lad and Projectra were brother and sister? hmmmmm....wonder if that's where Waid got that?

I don't remember it being specified if Projectra was related to Garth & Ayla in Superboy's Legion, and it was halfway hinted that the SL Projectra was a snake too... I think the white hair threw a lot of us off when they made their 1 panel cameo in the first issue.

Nope, Garth and Ayla were twins as usual and Projectra was from "Orandoss" (note the snakey final "ss") and of another species entirely.

I take it "an Orandoss" refers to an inhabitant of Orando, not that the name of the planet is different than usual. And her true form/species was left ambiguous, as I recall...
