Jeepers! I'm surprised it took so long for a Theena and Beerm thread!

Neat graemlins, Gary!
I happen to know their origins, BTW.
The childhood friend Exnihil never had.

To paraphrase the Ambush Bug origin:
"We (Barry and Mark) thought them up!"

Fastest graemlin-creation ever. Nice job as always, Gary.
I wonder if these characters will even turn up again?

In a freak accident where Beerm was first using his powers to hyperpath Theena and Antennae Lad simultaneously, he merged the two and Antennae Lad now lives as a symbiote on Theena's back.

She may even end up inside the clubhouse at some point. Although, Shikari-like, I think her appearance sort of precludes our ever seeing good 'ol Antennea Boy again. Poor AB, you've been re-imagined, and we hardly knew ye. Berm, OTOH, I think is just a one-off face in the crowd.

Wow. I love this community! We already have graemlins of these two characters who were only first published two days ago.
In thinking about Theena, I think Lame Lad might be onto something with the symbiote thing (though not with Antennae Lad... whoever he is). What I'm thinking is that the people on her planet share a symbiotic connection with those antennae creatures.
As for Beerm, my guess is that he was one of the non-core Legionarries who was trying to recruit on Daxam before the ban. So he might have gotten some connections that Sub Boy wanted him to use. Either that or he's buds with the son of a Daxam politician. We probably won't see him again until the Legion deals with the Daxam situation. (Oooo! Maybe that's the year-end event!)

Is Theena a variation of Athena? Goddess of wisdom?

So only people who live inside the clubhouse need code names? Maybe Theena is Venusian for Antennae Lass? It took me a minute to figure out why Haggard Lad thought Beerm was Daxamite but when I pulled out the comic and looked up the page, it made perfect sense. It's just that I think that his name might be a typo and he's really a Kryptonian frat brother and his name is actually Beer-Em...or Beer-Me. ...though I like the Beirbaum idea too.

And yet important characters from the Legion mythos such as Beauty Blaze, Quake Kid and Ansis STILL don't have smileys! So, is this community REALLY a utopia... or some sort of super-Hades... of space?

= (which could be pronounced "Tina" or "Tenna", depending on where in the universe you interlac) = Tom & Mary Bierbaum, 1000 years in the future, with the entirety of Legion Outpost fandom genetically coded into his body (hyperpathy being the new text message)
