Dreamy and Brainy- It may only be a joke but judging by the New Legion Poll, fan's are all for this. I never felt Thom and Nura were a good couple and this is so inspired. Talk about opposites attracting. The comic possibilities are endless. Let's hope this develops.

Lone Wolf and Princess Projectra- I was all for a Brin/Ayla rematch but after seeing the preview with Projectra, I think they would make an interesting couple. Another case of opposites attracting. She is the privileged "princess" and he's the bad boy "lone-wolf", again the comic possibilties are endless.

Ultra Boy and Shady- There personalities seem to mesh more than his and Tinya's and judging by the tryst with Triplicate Girl and his reaction to the sign, I would say they are friends and occasional sex partners. This works well with their rebellious and care free nature's and free's them up to be the bad boy and bad girl that they are but still giving them some kind of relationship. I alway's liked the characters best when single.

Lightning Lad and Saturn Girl- Well you have to have some traditionalism and at least this time he seem's to be more level headed and her the impulsive one {Her controlling the crowd}.

Karate Kid and Phantom Girl- I'm not sure about this one but it might be interesting to see him win her over.

Now my speculations:

Since it appears Brin is with Jeckie. the second established Legion couple will be :

Ayla and Vi- they are also the most wanted on my Legion Poll and I think this Legion will cross boundaries judging by the amount of sex that has been hinted at so far. You know Ayla's promiscuiousness is just a cover.

I also think Micro Lad/collosal Boy will be the gay male Legionnaire because Waid has given us several clues that he has a crush on Ultra Boy, which will be unrequited and he will end up with Invisible Kid or a non Legionnaire.

I think Ayla might be bisexual but I doubt it's just a cover.

Personally, I like the idea of Atom Girl and Colossal Boy/Micro Lad, if only for the sheer comedy of it.

I agree, Brainy/Dream Girl and Projectra/Brin definitely have a lot of potential.

I dunno about Lightning Lad and Saturn Girl. So many awful things have happened to them, I flinch in anticipation of the next cosmic-scale disaster whenever I see them together.

Shady is much too good for Ultra Boy but I don't mind her fooling around with him until she meets the right tall, dark handsome stranger - even if he comes from Otherspace.

I wish Star Boy true love, but I'm not sure with whom. He and Light Lass might be good together, not because of their gravity powers, but because they're both friendly, caring and sympathetic people.

Cos needs Lydda, or someone similarly outgoing and vivacious. Perhaps he should take a spin this time with Phantom Girl, another raven-haired beauty. On the other hand, it wouldn't entirely come out of left field if he turned out to be gay or bisexual. He's always let women choose him, rather than pursuing them himself, and I often wondered if this was due to natural diffidence or simply because he wasn't strongly inclined towards women in the first place. We shall see.

The others are up for grabs.

Did anyone like Mon'el/Shady?

I don't think they had ANYTHING in common.

I don't think I've ever heard of anyone in favour of Mon-el and Shady.

I'm still for a relationship between Brin and Vi. (Like I haven't said that a million times. )

Actually, I liked many scenes that had Mon and Shady together.

Especially-

"You gave me quite a scare, lover"

For some reason, that always sticks out in my head (maybe it was an add too?)

I never cared for Shady & Mon together. I would much rather have seen her with Briany and I would have liked Mon with Kara, or some other reasonable equal to him in power levels that could explore the cosmos with him on an equal footing.

Rich Girl and Wild boy while done could be entertaining.

Vi and Ayla would be fun, once again with the opposites of extrovert & introvert.

As for M'on & Shady, generally not too keen on it. Occasionally it was okay, but their characters had nothing in common and not enough different. In the Archie Legion the unrequited thing was the only humanising aspect of Tasmia's (and I'm so glad I don't have to say "Umbra" any more). Tas is far more the style of Cos, Brainy or Star Boy in this. Her cynicism is great with Star Boy's, she and Cos have a love of power and Tasmia with Brainy could be one of those brilliantly bickering couples with a love/hate thing, especially given his thing for the blondes.

Of course, there are the Legionnaire/enemy relationships that could be fun.
I evidently enjoy suffering of the characters. Tis fun though.

Mon and Shady were my favorite classic Legion couple, bar none. If Brainy and Kara ever actually had a relationship they would have displaced Mon/Shady, but alas 'twas not to be.

Jeckie/Val and Vi/Ayla would be 2 and 3. Everyone else is 4. Wildfire/Dawny is 23.

Y'know, Wildfire/Quislet would have been interesting.

Brainy/Nura is now hands-down my all-time favorite Legion pairing. I'm uaccountably way too happy with that pairing of fictional characters...

I loved when Mon-el and Shady called each other lover too!

I liked Mon and Shady together because they were always, in my opinion, the two most attractive legionnaires. It just made sense to see two such hotties fall madly in love with each other.

Brainy and Kara used to be my favourite legion couple but I'm jumping on the Querl-Nura bandwagon! Projectra and T-Wolf sounds very promising as well, though I wouldn't say no to a T-Wolf/Saturn girl pairing.

I'm a traditionalist in many ways but I am finding myself loving these new couples!

Jeckie/T-Wolf: HOORAY!

Jo/Shady: Why not?

Nura/Brainy: At first I wasn't sure, but it makes perfect sense and is rife with comedic possibilities!

Val/Tinya: I'm 100% for it. I think I was the only one who liked their backup story. I felt for both of them. I'm rooting for them to hook up!

Garth/Imra: Old kilowatt-face & iron-butt SHOULD be together. One tradition that seems to hold in all LSH incarnations. ps/ I'm loving Imra's new Texas-style hairdo!

I hope Garth/Imra is the only rerun relationship we see. I'm afraid it will set precendents for future writers.

I also hope that the relationships we're seeing now aren't all set in stone. It makes sense that there's a lot of dating in the Legion, but I find that the most interesting relationships are the ones that get built up slowly not the ones that are handed to us ready made. I'd like to see the characters a bit more developed before they start picking out soulmates.

I'm really enjoying the potential relationship between Brainy and Nura.
