Do Brin and Jo have criminal records? I think Brin makes a comment about stealing vehicles, but that doesn't mean he got caught. What else could he and Jo have been involved in? Drugs? Prostiution? Would those even be illegal on Rimbor? What effect wold it have on they're Legion membership if past illegal activities were uncovered?

Hmm, maybe I should have made this a fanfic challenge.

Actually, it seemed like the Rimborian government was pretty lax about many law enforcement activities. It wouldn't surprise me if the authorities were corrupt, and any record of past illegal activities could be made to "go away" through judicious application of the right number of creds...

By that argument they could be made to appear as well.

Sounds like something Winema would have done early on to keep Tinya away from Jo.
I dunno, they were gang leaders right? Maybe their underlings took the rap for any charges.
They probably got Brin on an "unauthorized furball" charge.
Either that or being introduced with out an origin, I think that's illegal on Rimbor.

Regardless of what they were actually caught for or charged with, I have to imagine they were never into anything too bad just for the sake of their characterization. What kind of crimes would be ok for a Legionnaire to have commited? I'd guess their crimes might include:
-- assault
-- destruction of property
-- smuggling
-- larceny
-- racketeering
-- resisting arrest
Most of which would have to do with simple survival on a harsh planet. Would you be able to accept other crimes like murder of a rival gang member, drug dealing, extortion or pandering? I'd love to see a Brin/Jo storyline that dealt with their shared past -- maybe even a trip back home.

I agree with what's been said about Jo and Brin. I'd love to see exactly WHAT they've done and why Winema hasn't found any dirt on Jo yet. I recall an old Showcase feature with Ultra Boy remembering his gang days on Rimbor, and he definitely seemed to be robbing a facility and firing on officers.

For other Legionnaires, is there any kind of record on Violet for her short tenure as the Emerald Empress? If I recall, she did some property damage (U.P. satellites) and altered several sentients (temporary effects or not) under the Eye's control. I love Vi to death, but what did the public think of her around that time? Were they aware she was being controlled and forgave her accordingly?

Pah! Enough of Legionnaires with criminal records! When will we ever see any decent super criminals face the LSH again? Apart from the Fatal Five the Legion seems remarkably Rogues Gallery-light.

Funny, when I came up with a list of things Vi and Brin had in common, a rap sheet didn't occur to me.

I think the Legion told everyone that Vi was on a secret mission when she was possesed.

What was Jo's position in the Dragons, btw? Was it ever actually stated?

I agree with Drake on the list of probable crimes, although I'd like to think they didn't have anything to do with drugs. I'd rather see them as giglalos than getting people hooked.

Can't forget about Cosmic Boy's arrest in LW #3...wonder what would happen if he went back to Braal?

Maybe then Rokk would finally fulfill his promise to Dyrk...
