Why didn't you include the images into the poll?

I voted for the one that affected my sense of nostalgia.

If there was a Grell group shot, I probably would have voted for it for the same reason.

Don't know how to do that and wasn't aware it could be done that way. It sounds cool, though.

They're showing for me.

For design and sheer power, I voted for Perez. Sentimental favorites would be Adams and Giffen.

You did not include Dave Cockrum's group shot from SUPERBOY # 197, which, IIRC, is the first Legion group shot ever. (Previous "group shots" consisted of individual pictures, a la the Mission Monitor Board.) It's probably just as well, as Cockrum omitted some Legionnaires, and at least one is hard to identify. But that shot, too, is a sentimental favorite which shows the camaradie of the team, as opposed to getting ready for battle or flying off on a mission.

what? no Legionnaires #80 drawn by Alan Davis?!? that was my favorite. Oh well...

so I pick George Perez's easily because looking at the group really makes you feel that they are the most powerful team ever - seriously.

If interest is high, there will be part 2 next year. I'd already picked Cockrum's wedding spread, Davis' # 80 cover and Dusty Abell's batch SW6 for part 2...

Don't forget the Grell group shot from the Saturn Girl and Lightning Lad wedding tabloid.

Sorry. The problem is the kilobytes...that's why BB and others on dial ups can't see the images.

I voted for Frank's because I liked the fun look and composition.

Coipel MUST have done a better image than that one! That's my favorite Legion, as ya'll know, and I loved Coipel, but that picture is more about the moon, really.

Manapul's is dynamic but I disliked 3boot too much to vote for it.

They're all fun but I like them a little less 'everybody' and 'fly by' so that I can actually see the Legionnaires and maybe some of their personalities.

I couldn't pick just one!

I finally clicked on Perez, over Giffen, for the more dynamic poses (although Giffen had the subs and Dr. Gym'll in there! Argh!).

My third choice would have been Francis Manapul's picture, because it was nice.

I liked Copiel's artwork, but that's not 'my Legion,' so it left me a bit cold.

On the other hand, the Toons get by fourth place vote, because I loved the cartoon!

Torn between Perez and Giffen.
Ultimately chose Perez because it's a much more dramatic and powerful piece of work.

If the Alex Ross image was on the list i would have voted for it, but the Perez was my pick.

Picked the Tooniverse as it seemed the most dynamic.

Where is the Perez one from?

History of the DC Universe.

I went with Perex because I think its all around the best image, combining a dynamic set-up with a great sense of nostalgia.

But I did consider the Copiel one, which contains excitement just ripping off the page.
