Whatever happened to erstwhile Legionnaire, Pr'tng Err'r (I may have misspelled that -- alien names are tricky)?

It hasn't been seen since that reboot team portrait...

The names sounds familiar but I can't remember any sort of details. Do you have more information?

Also, I was thinking that instead of STU Cat you should be Cat STU. That names reminds me more of your previous opinion of cats. smile

[purr] wink

Pr'tng Err'r was the name given for the colored blob in the background of a Legion group shot a few years back.

I think speculation was that it was supposed to represent Wildfire's energy form, or something.

Did the creators ever elaborate on what Pr'tng Err'r was supposed to represent? Or was it all just a joke?

Oh, that's right! Hmm...Wildfire is a combination of two beings or something, right? So it is possible that it was Wildfire. Still, for as long as I read the book, the subject never came up again. And I don't think DnA (who I'm assuming are the ones that introduced Wildfire) ever made a connection.

Oh wow. It never ocurred to me that anybody thought the DnA run was Wildfire's first Legion appearance. He was put back into the Legion in the reboot after the Mordru story but he was really Dave Cockrum's hot new LSH powerhouse way back in early '70s.

But on topic...
I always thought that was an "in joke" shortening printing errorinto a fake name so I just ignored it.

The only ever time I saw him/her was in the first Secret Files on Jimenez's double page spread of every Legion character to date.

I always thought it was suppposed to represent Sun Boy's joining the Legion on the original poster, but when he was pulled out at the last minute, they didn't color correct properly. This has always been pure, unsubstansiated theory on my part.

I don't know if you meant me, YK, but I didn't think DnA introduced Wildfire in the first place. I was commenting on DnA being the first ones to introduce the postboot version. Believe me, I'm a long-time Legion fan and have just about every Wildfire appearance (either in Archives or the original comics).

Oh, I get it Ferro. I misunderstood your meaning there.
I loved him when Cockrum brought him in. Going face to face with Superboy was pretty darned gutsy. I'd always figured even a teenaged version of big blue would be pretty awe inspiring.
