I was blown away when Barry sent these to me and wanted to spill the beans about the faces before he had a chance to post.

I think everyone's spotted the same people that I did. Although I think that's mechana under Cham.

For some odd reason, Ferro didn't ocurred to me but it certainly could be him. Good catch Drake!

I did indeed ink it - I'm not sure if the scan is the best I could have done - it's a bit muddied - sorry.

I also think I should come clean here and admit that when I drew the background characters I knew they would be obscured - so it was really for my own enjoyment and hopefully yours that they are there. Don't expect to see all of them in the story - though at least one will feature heavily!

Before everyone gets TOO excited: these are probably just little easter eggs for the longtime fans. These characters are not going to be in the stories proper except as background extras. That's my prediction, anyway, and I'm stickin' to it.

Hey, still, I said before I wasn't going to rest til Kid Psycho and Ron-Karr return to the book. I guess that nearly counts, even if KP didn't make the final cut. I'm glad to know he's percolating around somewhere.

My exact thought. Those pencils are just beautiful. And that's not hyperbole, I really can't think of a better word than beautiful.

There's really only one thing missing from Barry's art - Quantum Queen.

To paraphrase George Steinbrenner on Seinfeld, "I'm blown away Barry! Blow-o-own away!"

I think I'll wear a turban to work for "casual Friday" in celebration! Oddly, much like Kid Psycho, everytime I come to work it takes a year off my life. But each day seems like an eternity, so it balances out.
