The current issue seems to indicate that most of the Legion's followers are a bunch of punks and hoodlums as opposed to enlightened liberals.

I don't see that the issue necessarily lends itself to that conclusion. Yeah the 'Bigtown Eight' seem to have an agenda. I agree the kids at the beginning of the book don't seem like enlightened liberals but just seem confused, self righteous, and somewhat manipulated.

If every confused self righteous teenager was a hoodlum adults would be in a whole lot of trouble.

I don't know where you get that at all.

I don't understand the phrase "enlightened liberals". Is this a 31st Century thing, like Klordny Week?

Encyclopedia Galactica defines "Enlightened liberal" as the following:

1) Any youngster who makes a 200 Venturan Walking Money contribution to the LSH coffers for a rubber chicken dinner, the chance to listen to Rokk's 45 minute keynote address and a an autographed photo.

2) A derogatory term for male legionnaires that Light Lass has snuck out of Rokk's political dinner rallies for her amusement.
