Since the classic "Great Darkness Saga", there have been two more major stories involving the Legion and Darkseid.

While I think we can agree that neither really recaptured the magic of the original, which do you think is the better successor to what many consider to be the greatest Legion story?

RESULTS:

Quiet Darkness-- 8 votes
Foundations-- 6 votes

Despite the last minute surge of support for Foundations, The Quiet Darkness pulled through in the end!

Though I think "both sucked" probably would been a major contender...

I may end up being alone on this...But I liked The Quiet Darkness better.

Active LMB character is still Beast Boy.

Then we'll make it a sweep of two! I really love the characterization of Darkseid in The Quiet Darkness. It feels more true to Kirby's original intention.

I voted for the Quiet Darkness as well, not so much on the strength of TQD itself, but more on the weakness of Floundations.

I personally don't like The GDS to be honest with you. I found it to be.... boring. It may have been better reading it in serial form and waiting for the next issues to come out, but sadly I missed out on that and read it in trade form many years after the fact. That's just me though.

Foundations was okay, for me, but yeah, it sure could have been a lot better. That said, the only reason I voted for it was because I never read the Quiet Darkness.

It looks like we have a clear favorite, but turnout is still pretty low.

Maybe I should've put a "both sucked" choice?

That would have made the decision easier for me. I finally had to go with Foundations. Just didn't care for Quiet even more than it.

I think 'Quiet Darkness' is superior to 'Foundations' in a lot of ways. The characterization was better, and the story held it's own distinct feeling to it, where 'Foundations' hasn't come off than more of a 'Great Darkness Saga' tribute with a bad Superboy/Jarth sideplot.

QUIET DARKNESS was my least favorite of the entire 5YL stories (at least LEGION on the RUN had a few good Infectious Lass appearances!).

Therefore, I went with Crapdations.

A "Both Sucked!" choice would have been ideal!
