Hi Guys
As promised - and thanks to Nightcrawler - here are links to scans of the cover to #6. I'll be posting all the prelim stages on my website ASAP!You'll notice Phantom Girl is absent on teh inked version as she was inked on a separate board so it would be easier to move her if necessary to accommodate the barcode.

Hope you like the scans!

Great work as always, Barry! I still don't see Violet anywhere unless she is the speck on Gim's shoulder in the pencil version. Were you pulling our leg or is she really there? I wish you continued success and hope you stay for at least the first 200 or so issues. The artwork makes all the difference in telling a good story. Sure the script might be fantastic, but if the art isn't there it makes for an unsatisfactory read. BTW, when are we going to see Jeckie in action? I'm just dying to see her back. Stop teasing me!! lol

Beautiful work! It's not the Legion if they aren't all together about to squash a bad guy!

Though we're only getting acquainted with this Legion now, it seems that the various poses tell us something about the characters. KK and Shadow Lass look like they're about to plow right into a brawl, hot head Sun Boy's pose contrasts to the more relaxed positioning of Lightning Lad for instance. Those poses liven up what could be a very "stock" cover. That and big ol' Micro Lad's goofy mug.

Really like the subtle differences finding their way into Gim and Jo, making them unique to themselves.

It’s beautiful Barry!

Looks like Tanya got lost in the 4th dimension in the inked version.

wow! Those two are beautiful, Barry!

Me, i prefer the pencilled version, that one is really gorgeous, every character is great.

As i think that the character on the background at the bottom of the picture is Lyle, i think his clothes are great. I explain myself: since he is the last one to join the legion and just had his legion codename, i think he is great pencilled like that because he looks as the newbie he is,his clothes look like a mix of a costume and civil clothes.

Maybe he is searching for how his costume will look like and is trying some things at the moment.
He is searching for his own identity regards to the legion, as the newest arrive trying to integrate a group.

I want to see more from him since he is the youngest. Now that he is part of the legion, is it what he had imagined when he was at home fighting with his parents? etc...

Barry, we're so spoiled, and you're so cool.

This situation should continue for as long as we can manage it... smile

Barry,

Thanks for bringing the REAL Legion back to life. It may not be the original incarnation I grew up with in the 80's, but it's the closest it has been in years. I love the characterization, interaction and the fact that there are dozens of Legionnaires/supporting cast members that have never met! The possiblities for plots (and yes the classics sub plots which made the LSH so famous in the 80's) are endless!
The art is unbelievable as well. The characters are alive. They are youthful teens, but are clearly not "children" in the full sense of the word. This shows in the script and in the art. The legion rocks!!!

Barry,

Once again I love the pencil work on this.

But the "feeling" I get from this drawing is the best. This is a youthful, vibrant and excited (as well as exciting) Legion. There is a "joy" in this picture that has been missing from the legion for a long while.

And thanks for sharing by the way.
