Well, I haven't seen this anywhere elsewhere on LW yet, so here goes: In an articles posted on Pulse, there is a reference to female Legionnaires being on the DC Direct menu some time in 2004 (no details on who):

"But even amidst all the big-gunnery, team fans shouldn't fret. Along with the aforementioned JLA waves, and the promise of four more Legionnaires (Ferro Lad, Timber Wolf, Invisible Kid, Colossal Boy) in '04, Brewer has indicated that more is afoot. The modern JSA is certainly in play, as are female Legionnaires and more Leaguers of various eras. He emphasized that nothing is ever absolutely off the table (expect maybe Ma Hunkel), and that the talented sculptors work to produce characters that make sense at that particular time. It's a careful balance, he says, between the needs of the market and the wants of the fans."

Why are you laughing at me? It's unkind, as well as puzzling!

Glad I checked first. I was going to post the same thing. I really hope this comes to fruition.

Same here. Though I often think that that "it's on the table" has become a stock answer in relation to almost every character.

Yes yes yes yes!!!!! I WANT them so badly!! I hope to see all four- or five- pack female Legionnaires!! I hope to see:

Phantom Girl, Shadow Lass, Princess Projectra, Shrinking Violet, and/or Night Girl.

I prefer to have Triplicate Girl separate from them so I can buy THREE of them! love

Hopefully the next two rounds of LSH figures will sell well enough to get this off the ground.

You're right, I really hope so! I already pre-ordered Ferro and Timber Wolf, and I plan to do the same thing with Invisible Kid and Colossal Boy as when they are available!

Right now the only one I know I'm definitely getting is Invisible Kid. The figures on display at San Diego looked good, though. If the figures that hit the shops look that good, I may get Ferro Lad as well.

I've only got the three founders and Mordru. I didn't think the others were of the same quality, so I passed.

I've noticed the Saturn Girl figure still hasn't sold out, which might be a factor in why more female Legionnaires haven't been produced yet.

Not buying any of 'em here. Until they announce the one for Wildfire. And then, only if it's accompanied by at least an announcement that they're doing one of Dawnstar.

At this rate? Probably will be waiting until 2013 or later ...

Especially since they've opted to focus on the Silver Age/Adventure designs.

I'll admit to being more than a little miffed at the SA-style Timber Wolf... I'm getting Ferro, but not Brin.

The Cockrum redesign just really defined Brin for me. I actually prefer these sculpts to the statuesque founders-- so you can move Saturn Girl's arms, but what's the point? . Certain characters are just defined by certain eras, and the Silver Age wasn't kind to T-Wolf. My two cents, of course. And I'd much prefer Gim in his Cockrum duds, as well...

just found the last wave to be really expensive, really cheap & nasty.

and seeing as they're gonna keep using those moulds, they ain't getting my money.

Tho if they're looking on saving a buck, i don't see why they can't repaint Thom as his seventies look as a special.

And i agree on the all SA thing, i like his SA costume but not really looking for Tinya and Jeckie in their less than iconic outfits. Not that they're actually gonna make any girl figures.

Honestly, it's as creepy as the smurfs at the moment, maybe we should be calling Imra 'Saturnette'.

Star Boy looks like Ben Affleck. There was just no way I was going to buy that one.

oh...now I feel bad...especially those negatives on those male legionnaires...now I am afraid that we will not get those female legionnaires because many of you won't buy male legionniares based on previous wave - Star Boy, Sun Boy, Chameleon Boy, and Ultra Boy... Why not have your voice be heard at the convention and DC Message Board? I have seen some voices being heard and it does work! Look at Power Ring, and others. frown

I do.

I go to a few big cons a year and I always make it a point to stop at the DC Direct and attend any panels on DC Direct.

I also (rarely, these days) post on the DCMBs under another ID.
