I haven't listened to anything from Steve Hackett in ages.

His recent albums have been consistently solid, though also a bit formulaic.
He's also fantatic live. I've seen him twice in the past thtee years.

I rarely get to see concerts anymore LOL I've actually gone to very few concerts and listened to relatively few live recordings. The "studio sound" and all the possibilities therein -- that's totally my thing.

I like getting drawn into the crowd's mood, feeling the vibe and enthusiasm around me.

I had tickets to see Hackett in early 2020, right when the pandemic hit. Fortunately, the show was cancelled before I had to make the decision whether to chance going or not. When I got to see the rescheduled show in late 2021, it ended up being entirely Genesis material, which, in turn, turned out to be exactly the sort of cathartic experience I needed after all of the stress of that period. Really one of the best concerts I've been to.

The "studio sound" and all the possibilities therein -- that's totally my thing. I used to live in walking distance (well, a mile+ walk) of Merriweather Post Pavilion so I would see at least two concerts a year based on my schedule (and the venue's of course). Now it's at least an hour drive one way to see anything that I'd want to see. (Technically, Dogstar did come to a town 30-40 minutes away earlier this year)

Funnily enough, when I went to the Gilmour concert a week ago, Guy Pratt (the band's bassist) came out before the show asking everyone to PLEASE not use their phone flashlights/flashes. He didn't say "don't take pictures" (I did take a few!) but just that the light was bothersome.
Anyway, the performance and light show was so good, recording anything would have made people miss out...

I wonder if the Flash museum prohibits flash photography.

Ok so hear me out - if you get flashed by someone and take a flash picture, that would cancel out right? But NOT if it happens in the Flash museum.

I get peeved by people who object to calling a standard 32-page comic book a "floppy."

Ding the floppy disk slightly, and oh no! my whole thesis is gone! This happened to me. Had to get IT to restore it, which they thankfully managed with minor loss.
