You win an all expenses paid vacation to the 30th century and a guided tour of one Legionnaire's homeworld. Where would you go?

Fun topic. Tough also. I cna think of more reasons not to visit mos homeworlds than to visit them.

Kathoon, maybe?

So many I'm sure I don't want to go to! Naltor, everyone would be bored and finishing my sentences. Titan, yikes, what mental privacy? Durla, nope, I wouldn't be welcome! Daxam, probably has gravity strong enough to squash me like a pancake if it's anything like Krypton. Talokk VIII seems dangerous and lacking in the sort of future amenities I'd want to see (and enjoy!) in a visit to the future. (Orando, same, although probably not as dangerous?) Imsk, everyone is tiny, I'd be too afraid to step on someone to move! Braal, toxic heavy metals in the air, not sure about that one... Winath, ugh, I grew up in a farm town, on a farm, doing farm things. Do Not Want to visit Farm Planet! Colu, buncha green super-geniuses 1000x smarter than me treating me like a talking monkey, or worse, experimenting on me! Rimbor, uh, no. Tharr, help me, I'm melting! Hyrkraius, glub, glub, liquid methane, no breathe!

That leaves Earth, obviously, homeworld to folks like Sun Boy, Wildfire, Invisible Kids I and II, etc.

Starhaven may or may not have 'future amenities', but sounds like an amazing place, and since 'spaceship pilot' and 'navigator' were Dawny's parents jobs, they certainly *sound* like a spacefaring people, and not a more 'primitive' world like Durla, Orando, etc.

Xanthu sounds like it's pretty much Earth-ish, and what we've seen of it bears that out, so if Earth's not on the list (and it could be fun to limit the choice to a planet other than Earth!), Xanthu would be on top of my list.

Bgtzl just intrigues the hell out of me! What's it like over there? A copy of Earth just in another phase? A whole nuther universe, perhaps with it's own Legion? The actual afterlife, and the 'phantoms' of Bgtzl are *actual spirits of the dead* just gently deceiving the rest of the UP into thinking they are dimensional visitors (which, technically, even if they are the souls of the dead from this dimension, they still are!)?

But my final answer has to be... Sorcerer's World! (Technically not the homeworld of White Witch, who is a native of Naltor, but it *MAY* be the homeworld of Glorith II, and therefore count!) I'd totally go nuts over a visit to Sorcerer's World! Yeah, no super-future-tech, and yeah, *probably* not even a little bit safe, but Imma risk it!

GL, the anti-travel agent (created by Marv Wolfman, Age 34, Flushing Meadows), has ruled out quite a few. smile

Work on that tan. Visit the Fire Pits of Apocalips
What happens in the flesh pits of Rimbor, stays in the flesh pits of Rimbor
Guardian Nostalgia Tours presents: Suicide Slum Walking Tour
The Odds Are You'll Love A Trip To Ventura

So much for optimistic future: Braal, Imsk,Teall, Hykraius, Trom, Tharr, Dryad...

Starhaven, almost by default, for me.
