Looking at that link, I find myself...relieved that I got out of DC Comics a good long while ago? Amanda Waller is becoming (or has become) the new Max Lord? I do not like the sound of that at all.

Yeah somewhere along the line they forgot that Amanda is a person willing to do bad things for noble reasons and turned her into a straight up megalomaniac willing to create catastrophes to justify her false beliefs. She's carrying the same vibe as Tony Stark in the "Civil War" era.

For what it's worth, at least DC "tried" to address Waller's more extreme characterization by revealing that she's originally from Earth 3.

Are you thinking about the Future State Suicide Squad miniseries? Because that had Waller AND her Earth-3 counterpart. Or how they were saying recently that Waller was STUCK on Earth-3 when the Light brought her back to her home universe?

Yeah, so I obviously misunderstood all of that.

Ostrander was the only one to writer her correctly as far as I'm concerned. At least she ain't skinny.
