Well, only one of my top faves still in so I sympathize, Idle, sorry there aren't more. Wow! I'm surprised Theena didn't make it back in! she was very close... TBH I voted NO to Theena not because I don't like her exactly, I just wasn't willing to have her win over someone else I liked more Tough cuts this round for me. I think I would have cut Tenz, but I keep him in honor of our dearly departed MLLASH. 5YL Tenz is the character I most associate with him, so cutting him would be like cutting Lash. All were difficult, but the first three out were Gear, Gates & LeVIathon. Last and hardest cut was Imra.
d great reason to vote for Tenz, Lardy! and thanks for sharing some of your other faves that didn't make the cut!

A story of sacrifice, and of unrequited love. Better still was Luornu's decision to not let those feelings dominate the rest of her life (and story), moving on to find a stronger love and sense of purpose. Also cool powers and an example of a team with early, strong female characters.

No wonder Levitz wanted Supergirl to be Sensor Girl. He was writing her really well in that run, in the GDS (nabbed for Crisis) and in a little run of issues than ended in her final return to our time. If you go with the Brainy colouring continuity, she was there before Superboy. The romance with Brainy has twists and turns and she's just a more proactive, fun Kryptonian.
(5YL) Matter-Eater Lad
An example of a character who was really boosted by the TMK run. A humorous counterpoint to the dark galaxy he travelled around. I think I first saw him in a team poster and probably wondered what on Earth they were thinking. But Tenz is a mover and shaker. A politician with connections and a great sense of how to live the fullest of lives. And, of course, Lash (as Lardy pointed out)

Key to so many Legion stories and the team. The epitome of intelligence and application. But written so that this comes with flaws and cautionary tales from Omega to Supergirl robots. All this gave a lot of depth to Querl, the longer the series went on, from his reaction to Universo's mind tampering to his reasons for the Conspiracy that led to a number of departures.
(Pre-5YL) Saturn Girl
Arguably the team's best leader, whose powers made her every bit as powerful as any Daxamite or Kryptonian. A founder who was every bit as active as the others, which wasn’t common at all in those days. Her willingness to sacrifice herself for Garth and her victory over Universo two of many fine moments for Imra.
A little sad that Bouncing Boy didn;t make it back in. He's a character I grew to appreciate more and more with each reread and access to the older issues. I think he meant a lot to readers for a lot of reasons. Everything from self identity, through unrequited love, finding a place and better yet, building on that to find happiness and a good life. Oh, and he was a bit of a tactical genius on the sly, and then there's that Hunter issue.

What was Reboot Chuck's personality? thanks, thothy! Reboot Chuck's very first appearance, some Legionnaires were complaining about how their lives reeked. And Gates was going on about them being a teenage death squad. Chuck flat out said nobody on Earth would even be alive without the Legion, and how proud he was to be there. Not dissimilar from pre5YL Chuck, just - in my opinion - a bit more earnest. And I'm a sucker for the underdog-types generally; Reboot Chuck not having powers, but standing by the team anyway, endeared him to me. also, we have all the usual voters in, so I'm closing round 12 now!

We lose 4/5 of the Legionnaires who came back Round 11... perhaps a sign that that +10% bonus mechanic may not have changed things around so much, in the long run?
We lose our first Round 5 winner as well, in XS!
so basically, we lose everyone who made it back in Round 11, except Kid Q II stays while XS goes!
Our Top 10 is made up of 8 Legionnaires from Round 5, a Round 7 returnee, and a Round 11 returnee!
Interestingly, Imra was on 5 different lists, but still didn't make it to safety - her highest place was a Rank 2 vote, and on 3/5 of lists she was rank 5th. Not enough to cover lost ground.
Conversely, Kinetix was on only 2 lists, but was Rank 1 on both, letting her make it to 3rd place.
and of course, Tenzil looks to be the juggernaut of this round - on 4 lists (has the numbers), with two of those being Rank 1 and another as Rank 2.
Our top 10 composition is now:
6 Reboot, 3 pre 5YL, 1 5YL (basically same a in Round 5, except we drop Tellus and XS, for pre5YL Luornu and Kid Q II)
We have 6 females, 3 males (4 if you count Gates as male)
and with Triad gone, nobody has more than 1 version.
