I got it right from the source, of course. Linking it back to Kirby

I got it right from the source, of course. Linking it back to Kirby I have an easier time now appreciating what Kirby accomplished with his Fourth World Saga. Still not keen on the clumsy dialogue, but if I can forgive Don McGregor and Mark Gruenwald, I can certainly forgive the godfather of super heroes. I also recently had the mixed fortune of reading the Rachel Pollack & Tom Peyer issues of New Gods, the ones right before John Byrne. Some interestingly outside-the-box ideas swamped by bad pseudo Image art and editorial cowardice.
Still "Fickles" to my friends.

I think I've read a few versions of the origin of the title over the years.

Heh. I was just thinking of Jack Kirby's 3-D comic because MST3k had its 3-D premiere of *The Mask* last week.
I kept hoping someone in the audience would be enough of a nerd to shout, "GOOD WORK, STEREON!" at some point.

Evey Hammond became the protégé of V, in V for Vendetta.

A Hammond organ? That would be impressive.

A Hammond organ? That would be impressive. A shadow fell over the muggers, blotting out what little light that had crept with them into the alley. The dark shape brought terror swiftly on the heels of recognition. "No!" cried one of the criminals "It's Hammond Organ!" As the ambulance took away two flat packed villains, a distinctive tune could just be heard over the early morning sounds of the city.

Giant Floating Kidneys terrorise the city Hammond Organ is sworn to protect. Forever floating just out of reach, taunting him that there are other organs in town. That time they invited over the Brain Globes of Rambat was the worst.

The Brain Globes were the best entry in the DC Commemorative Paperweights collection.

Just gotta love those lightning-wielding brain globes
too bad there was never a connection between those and Validus...

And with a Gorilla as an assistant, you've pretty much got the perfect villainous duo, short of making them Nazis too.

I'm inexplicably tickled at the existence of canning-style jars with mug-like handles. The ones which are meant to evoke Grandma's kitchen at harvest time. But their *real* purpose is to make you feel wholesome about plunking down $20 for a fruity cocktail at a hipster bar.

I actually have one of those handled jars because my Sis sent us Georgia Peach preserves last year so it's a nice memento. Of course, it's only a matter of time before it bumps the regular jars in the storage bin and gets broken. But by that time she'll have sent us another jar of preserves anyway.

I like grilling peaches. Apples too. I have a great recipe where I core out an apple & fill it with butter and brown sugar. Grill/smoke them for a bit and its like eating an apple pie without the crust!
