there is an even newer trailer running with the new Batman movie, which still gives a May 20 release date (media accounts say to has been pushed back to July 29)

I haven't really been paying much attention to it, but here's hoping it does well.

Yeah, most of the DC films have been pushed.

These guys just can't catch a break. When I saw The Batman a couple weeks ago there was a trailer showcasing all the DCEU movies. A day or two later, they all get delayed. I really feel bad for Ezra Miller who hasn't had his own movie almost a decade after signing on to this role.

I have no real interest in the movie, but if it brought you back here, it can't be all bad.

Most of the super-pets in this film are no super-pets that any DC comic reader would recognize, although they are based on extant characters.
Here is the dramatis personae:
Krypto, an alternate version of the original super-dog.
PB, aka "The Mighty Oink", a pot-bellied pig whose power is super-growth, similar to Colossal Boy. I the inclusion of a pig may be a reference to the time Circe transformed Wonder Woman into pig in Justice League Adventures.
Merton, a turtle possessing super-speed. An unmistakeable reference to Fastback, of the Captain Carrot's Zoo Crew, as well as the Crash, of Earth C-minus, and the original terrapin speedster, The Terrific Whatsit.
Ace, a dog (pit bull?) whose name is a callback to Batman's bat-hound, but is clearly a different character. Possesses super-strength and cartoon invulnerability.
Chip, a squirrel with lightning powers. Not to be confused with Ch'P, Green Lantern of H'Lven.

Why not give us an actual Legion of Super-Pets movie? Or SCPA/Dog Star movie? Or a Zoo Crew movie?
