I finished four collages in August! That's the most I've completed in 30 days since the very beginning of the year!
Hey, Kids! My "Cranky and Kitschy" collage art is now viewable on ipernity! Drop by and tell me that I sent you. *updated often!*

So, since early June, runs have been off. Literal paychecks of around $420 for a week's work. And now, after seriously considering changing companies, runs are starting to pick up again. And we've managed to catch up on my back pay. My savings are gone, and I'm eating from dollar tree on the road, but its' finally starting to turn around. Changing companies, changing trucks, changing insurance...I was really dreading having to do that. So, I'm glad it's starting to pick up again.

Over the past few years, I've been doing a lot of studying. I actually did some software jobs that were, well, kind of crappy. At least, they weren't interesting. A couple of months ago I landed a job as a data engineer. I like the work and love the people, and the pay is good. Also, fully remote. It looks like I'll never have to go into an office again. The studying certainly paid off.
Things are actually going so well I keep expecting someone to jump out and yell "April Fools!"

After two months in the hospital and rehab, my father-in-law is home again. He had to have major surgery twice. Had to have an ostomy bag and peg tube put in. He has had OT, PT, Speech Therapist and visiting nurses. Major adjustment in his life but he still has a lot of independence. He lives above us. Can go up and down the front stairs. Still unable to use the back stairs to the basement (where his work area is for his hobbies - they are very narrow and steep). We lost his wife just last July so we were very worried. We still have to do his major cleaning, laundry, shopping and take him to doctor appointments. We are making it work. Both of us are home most of the time so if there is an emergency we can respond quickly.
