I remember reading about this, but I forgot who she transformed into. Some kind of energy vampire?

Not an energy vampire, but with the look, I can see why that seemed possible. (unless there's another NYPD detective, I don't know about)

Not a traditional zombie. She did appear to die and came back looking different but not mindless. She had a "Super" name which is what I was looking for, but an accurate description of her new self will work.

I read this character's bio once, but cannot remember the name or kind of being.

Well, I think I'll call it and give it to Ibby. The name is Mayhem (chaos is a sort of synonym). She died and came back as a green-skinned woman with talons who was surrounded by green poisonous vapors turn into gas and fly. I've always had a weak spot for Cloak and Dagger and thought the tv show was pretty good.

thanks, idle. Cloak and Dagger were a very interesting concept, for sure. And some neat exploration on themes around addiction.
lessee...
in COIE, who proves immune to Phobia's powers?

Thanks for the backstory idle. Always like learning more bits I don't know.
Ibby - This is another one I should know. Aargh! Um - Brainiac (in his robotic form)?

I'm going to have to look up that scene now. Sounds great.
For a while in Post-Crisis, Toyman was similar to previous versions in appearance and his ability to create robotic toys yet with an iron-clad ethic of protecting children, but later he became a distinctly unhinged murderer with a shaved head and a penchant for torturing children. Trying to come to terms with her grief over the death of her son whom he had killed, Cat Grant with Superman visited Toyman in prison and asked him why he changed. What was the fandom related event that altered his perspective and behaviour?

No it had nothing to do with Doomsday.
Clarification: when I say fandom related event, I mean it was something that happened in Toyman's personal life that has connections to real life fandom as opposed to a comic event.

thanks for the clarification!
hmmm thinking of the kid connection... something to do with Robin, did he notice that Robin looked different? and went down a conspiracy theory rabbit hole about the Robins being disposable or something
