Was it common knowledge he was such a huge LSH fan? Lately he's been pretty active on the "LSH:Legion of Super-Heores" Facebook page asking about people's favourite artists, talking about his favourite stories, and mentioning how he's been filling holes in his collection.
I've never been a big fan of his stuff personally, but you can't knock his enthusiasm.

I only know he did a Timber Wolf commission for someone.

And as long as he stays a fan, and not as an artist, it's great.

Hell, if it meant an increase in sales, get Rob to do variant covers for the relaunched Legion comic! Not that any of us will buy them, but someone will.

Gods!
First the Jonathan Hickman rumor, now Rob Liefeld is suspiciously gaga for the Legion?
Yuck and double yuck.
FWIW, I can confirm off the top of my head that Liefeld illustrated the Laurel Kent entry in Who's Who in the Legion of Superheroes. Don't ask me how that bit of trivia stuck with me.
EDIT: Something else else else that occurred to me after the last time I logged out:
Rob Liefeld is homophobic. Just ask Peter David, who confirmed during his second X-Factor run that Liefeld's creation Shatterstar is gay, something which anyone capable of reading between the lines had already been sensing for years. Liefeld reacted to this by throwing a wobbler.
I wouldn't be surprised is Liefeld is several other kinds of phobic as well.
My point being, Liefeld is the second-to-last person (after Jonathan Hickman) that I'd want working on the Legion, which rivals Wonder Woman as the DC IP with the largest LGBT following.

DC's Hickman/Liefeld ticket loses an early fan I wouldn't read another Hickman comic if someone offered me money!

He also "drew" Dev-Em, Rainbow Girl(Lass?) and Reflecto, if memory serves...

^^Pov, LOL I'd managed to block those out of my mind. Wow. Was DC that short-handed on halfway-decent artists?

I did not know Rob was a big LSH reader. A Facebook friend of mine asked Rob if his recent posts indicated he might be hired by DC to draw the feature. Rob replied no, there was no connection to a job on the LSH. Not sure where the post appeared, but it was not a private message. It was in my newsfeed.

I liked Liefeld's art on the first Hank/Dawn Hawk & Dove mini (although I've heard that was heavily inked by Karl Kesel or someone) but haven't liked anything he's done since. *That* Captain America drawing still makes me chuckle.

I really hope he doesn't find out about this thread or we might be screwed.

*That* Captain America drawing still makes me chuckle. Perhaps by the 31st century, Terrans will have mutated to the point where Liefeld's rendering of human physiology will look positively realistic.
Next time we have a DC/Marvel crossover, I want it to take place in the Hostessverse
