It's very sad for me, the poor final of the reboot Legion in Earth 247. Although some events were not of my affability (like Sneckie, Jarth, Monstress, Thunder), a so important group of heroes deserve a better end. It is final good bye for the best ones (Triad, Invisible Kid, Mon'el, Saturn Girl, Umbra). I hope that those that decide the future of Legion universe also do not decide to eradicate the present ones. For now I have a good team, but I need know more about the origins of the members. But I have the saddest sensation that my Legion dies in The Magic Wars.

funny you mentioned that! because I was shedding my tears, only not for the Legion, they are for JLU!!! Tonight was the final episode and the ending really brought my tears. *sniff* Good to see Martian Manhunter back and oddly enough Wonder Woman was protrayed as HUMAN!! She saw MM and hugged him! whoa. Nice episode.
Also, when I saw the reboot Legion reunited in IC, I was so glad to see Shikari, Kid Quantum II, and others...but saddened at the same time...made me mad at Mark and Geoff....oh well...here's hoping that we will see KQ II, XS, Wildfire, Mon, either Shikari or Dawnstar, Tyroc real real soon! They are sorely missed.

Some of those characters haven't been seen in almost 20 years--remember that Magic Wars was 18 YEARS ago...I suspect that all of us would be better off remembering them for what they were. I doubt we'll see their like again....

I was a bit disappointed that Shikari didn't wind up in the current Legion's universe - and meet them. That would have been an interesting story.

All I can say is that it hardly seems fair to have Earth 247 gone when I'm not even done reading the reboot yet!!

but i read somewhere that Mark Waid said there weren't going to be any speedsters in his LOSH book. too bad. XS(Jenni Ognats) and Star Boy(Thom Kallor/Danny Blaine) were my favorite Legionnaires.

no speedsters? meaning Dawnstar? Mara Williams? grrr....come on!!! WHY must leave ONE Flash in the whole DCU?!? WON'T work that way......remember GL, that Kyle was supposed to be the "LAST" GL in the DCU and look at the GL now! We can write to DC and complain to bring the Speed Force back!!! GRRR....

i think the 'no speedsters' comment was concerning Flash-related characters(like XS for example, or even a new similar character)

For better or for worse, it was the Legion of my generation; they deserved better than a few panels.
Hey, we could see them again as the newest incarnation of the Omega Men!...*sigh* unlikely as that is...

At least they got an appearance in IC, which is better than can be said for the original Legion. The post-IC DC now seems willing to acknowledge a great deal of their past, such as the fact that certain characters really come from alternate Earths, but apparently the classic Legion is only to be relegated to campfire stories?

Weren't the origonals blinked out of existance? I would understand an appearance of them if their universe just sort of sank into creative writing limbo, but I thought they ceased to be at the end of Zero Hour.

It wouldn't be too tough for DC to use all versions of the Legion. They'd just have to say that the future hasn't happened yet, and therefore any number of different 31st centuries could occur. No need to say which one's the 'real' one.

Another question. If The Legion of Earth 247 are gone. What about Inferno (the girl) lost in the 21th century's limbo?

No more than the Earth-3 Crime Syndicate or any number of other people that re-appeared in the Infinite Crisis. For that matter, the Post-boot Legion were shown fading into whiteness in much the same manner as the originals.

They probably just won't mention her again. Lord knows after that mini series, it would be a blessing.
For a character who wasn't a team player, she sure seemed to show up at a lot of team-up type events!

Didn't she show up in Young Justice? Hmmm, Temporaly Displaced Pyromaniac...does she know that the Doom Patrol is hiring?

has anyone heard the news that a new Starman(quite possibly the Danny Blaine Starman) is going to be a member of the relaunched JSA comic? i guess that means that the time displaced Star Boy/Thom Kallor of the reboot Legion is back after all.. p.s i found the news here: http://dcboards.warnerbros.com/web/thread.jspa?threadID=2000077534&tstart=0
