Should only songs about a broken heart be in a song break?

Aren't song about a lonely heart much better than songs about a broken heart?

"It's A Miracle" by Was(Not Was) has a verse about a broken TV.

I always got confused as to what Mister Miracle could actually do.

I think the writers often were as well.

I love the name of his alter ego - Scott Free.

One of the best real names IMO.

Smoke E. Free was his smooth-voiced cousin.

I love smooth bass voices. I often modulate my own to sound deeper.

I have had people on the telephone think that I am a woman based on my voice.

I still remember getting over a bad case of Strep back in my college days. I called a friend on the phone, and got her roommate. Then the roommate called out to her, "Hey, Julie! There's some guy on the phone for ya'!"

Once when I called a customer back, the phone was answered by his teenage daughter. I explained who I was and that I was looking to speak with her father. I then heard her call out to her father "Some fag is on the phone for you."

I was shocked and angry, but I didn't say anything to him about it. I did think about ending the call by saying that I heard what she said, but felt it would not be good for the business to embarrass the customer.

How rude. I hope she matured.

I'm torn between irritation when I hear stuff like that, and then thinking that the real problem is the parent rather than the kid.

When I was younger, my Dad used to use language like that and my Mom would try to correct him. At some point I figured out that even though I loved my father, some of the stuff he said and did was just wrong.

My dad used a lot of hateful words for people when I was growing up as well. I particularly remember hearing the N word a lot. He doesn't use that word any more.

John Waite's "Change" was a lot more bearable than his "Missing You," even though the latter was more successful.
