I was finally able to get in touch with her after trying to call her for the last couple of weeks. Well, I didn't speak to her specifically and, well, guys I'm worried about her.
I just found out today that she lost her home, is currently living with a male friend in his apartment, is getting an eye operation, and is still waiting to hear back about finding a place to live by herself.
She hasn't been on here in so long and since I know it's hard for her to stay in touch with LW, I was thinking if I could get the address of the place she's staying at, would any of you be interested in sending her some get well cards or things like that?
To let her know people are thinking of her.

I'd love to send her a card, but I'm not sure posting her address (even a temporary one) on the board is a good idea. Perhaps there's another way to get them to her?

Another option is to send our messages electronically/online. Not only would it be faster, but those of us farther away would be able to participate.

I barely know her, but what little interactions I had, she seemed to be a very nice person. I hope we can be of some help to her.

Sarky, if you have her address, maybe we could send messsages to you to include in a card that you send, either via PM or just here and print out this thread.
I'm sad to hear she's having a rough time and would love to see her back posting on LW!
It's good you're trying to contact her; it can really help alleviate difficulties to know that people care about you and miss you.

I'd thought something similar as well.
I finally heard back from her tonight. I found out that staying with her friend was not the original plan. But someone cleared out her bank account.

Update: Candle has had cataracts surgery. As far as I know, she's had both of them removed. I know she was feeling better after the first was removed, but I haven't heard from her about how the second surgery went.
