Anyone planning on watching Heroes Reborn tonight? I watched Dark Matters and was intrigued enough to check out tonight's show. http://www.nbc.com/heroes-reborn/dark-matters/episodes
First comic books ever bought: A DC four-for-47-cents grab bag that included Adventure #331. The rest is history.

I'm DVRing it and will definitely watch. This is even though I gave up on the original after Season 3, which was probably longer than it deserved. I'm hoping they'll learn from their mistakes and make a show that truly lives up to its potential.
Still "Lardy" to my friends!

Some quick impressions:
HRG is excellent, as always. His new sidekick, not so much. Reminds me of people who used to hang out at comic shops back in the 80s.
East L.A. storyline kinda meh. It might be interesting, though, to see how a non-powered guy in tights aided by a priest with somewhat weird powers plays out. Kind of a turnaround of the usual sidekick situation.
The high school kid story had some fun twists. I'm intrigued by the older guy following him around and cleaning up his messes without him realizing it. Even the bully comes across as sympathetic. I wonder what really happened to his stepfather.
I really don't like the married couple at all. The one-dimensional psycho woman needs to be killed off quick. Husband might actually become a worthwhile character then.
Favorite bit: the Japanese Matrix stuff. Just plain fun to watch.
Overall, there's enough there to bring me back next week, but I hope to see some improvement.

Most of it just felt like retreads of stuff we've already seen to me.
Not anything to bring me back, with a lot of shows a lot more interesting on the air these days. I might consider binge watching it sometime in the future, but I don't really see myself watching on a weekly basis.

I've been watching it but my main issue is like the previous series some of the plots are interesting and others are painfully boring.

Regardless of the varying qualities of each storyline, the whole thing just doesn't feel like they've advanced the concept of the show. Having "Evos" becoming a worldwide thing should have been the thing, but it doesn't feel like it. Just because they're persecuted openly vs. secretly, it still feels the same.
And I find Katana Girl ridiculous. After 2 episodes, already as annoying as Hiro by season 3.
