Teeds has done a LOT of cover posting, as we all well-know. What's needed is a thread focusing on the covers *I* like best, and not the rest. (kindly smile)

I kinda gasped when I saw this the first time.
An all new perspective from the Phoenix saga. LOOK AT ALL THE COCKRUM INFLUENCE/ Butt-shot, buggy space-craft, Cyclops' whole head... this artist was/is certainly a major student of Cockrum's work.

I also adore the X-Men above the logo thing.

The original version is a flat, dull, white background, but this Teeds discovery showed the power of GOOD coloring. Look how the logo POPS!
So don't be a sad nads, Magneto! Be a glad nads thanks to Teeds!

Just to clarify: This is a homage thread to Teed's Cover Cleverness? Which is fine. It is *not* posting our own fav covers, infringing on the UP Protected Territory of Teeds, and punishable by being shin kicked into the next galaxy (it's rumoured Validus took lessons, but remains a rank amateur in this area)?

One of my favorite Teeds cover discoveries. I find it both sexy and horrifying, and shouldn't sex be both (smiles kindly)

We should have a thread devoted to discussing books we were inspired to read by Teeds's posting of the cover.

We could call it "Under Teeds's Covers!"

Another favorite. I think I'm really into the art on these foreign covers.

1. I'm sure Lash won't mind if other people want to repost other covers. Even if he does, he's kind of drunk right now so any fights will be over real fast.

2. I do not believe I have a thread of my favorite covers. Maybe THOTH should start one. (And fix the apostrophe.)

Is everyone on this thread (other than me) drunk? I suspect so.

I was going to fix the grammar in my Apostrophe Apocalypse Thread, but that Cobie's tribute thread.

Absolutely. The so-so image is still so-so in my opinion, but this is a prime example of how a simple (simple??) change can make a huge difference. It's been my experience/opinion, though, that reprint recolor jobs usually go downhill -- see the Avengers 11 example.

UNlike Lash, I *do* like a good white background. X-men 200 isn't one of them.

Here's one of my favorites -- the colors are a strong factor.

Well, well, well. Thoth's little confusion tactic goes nowhere. He knows full well that the time is almost nigh for me to make cover thread creation MANDATORY for all sentients.

As is well-known, my powers are strongest during the transitional seasons...and autumn will be here very soon.

Little details mean a lot. Howdy's big toes make that cover special.

The gag is top-notch clever, although I worry he's either going to get beaten up by or --have a reaLLLLLy good time with the neighbors!
