Rockhopper Lad inspired me with this post: You want Five for Fifteen? I'll give you Five for Fifteen!
Five LMB Founders: Lash Lad Lard Lad Cobalt Kid Shadowplay in Candleight Lass/Candle Tsarin Kid/Mystery Lad
Five Legion World Founders: Nightcrawler Lightning Lad Spellbinder/Crujectra Kid Prime Saturn Girl
Five All-New, All Different LMB: Caliente Stealth/Fanfic Lady Tamper Lad Joeboy Rockhopper Lad And I thought well I must be around Invisible Kid 2! Which is cool because he's a great character! Ends up being a leader, like Peebs, and eventually UP President. Awesome mixed identity character that is way beyond stereotypical characters introduced to somehow advance multiculturalism. And Jacques is super plucky, which is how I hope to think of myself. (Jacques also didn't go mad or have such a troubled future as the White Witch who joined around the same time). Also, he comes in on the tail end of a certain era that has a strong identity. (much like LW right before my time? seems like there was a tight group who interacted a lot and then after my time a bunch of exciting new members.) Rockhopper's analogy makes some sense to be Polar Boy, he's super optimistic and became leader and a mainstay of LW and the LMBP. So who's your LSH counterpart in the LMBP history? (or just a Legion member you feel an affinity to?)

In strict chronological terms, Sensor Girl.
But if we're talking affinity, Lightning Lass/Light Lass. Ayla's outspokenness and her tendency to try just about anything once definitely resonate with me.

I could totally see Sensor Girl for you, one of my favorites for sure. (and your old avatar pic!)
Ayla's a dream, like Invisible Kid or Polar Boy, she just keeps on trucking ....

I joined after the book was cancelled, so I'm Drawing Board Boy or Unfulfilled Plot Lad Considering the body count the Giffen/ Levtz partnership was starting to rack up, perhaps it's a blessing not to have a counterpart.

. . . SORRY THOTH! Maybe an academy member ... Or someone like Dev Em ... (whom I TOTALLY have an affinity for ... oddly or not so oddly) However, we've actually got a Dev around here in the LMBP role play universe somewheres.

Hmm I joined fairly recently as well and I'm an avid Cosmic Boy fan so I guess I'm most like Magnetic Kid.

But even dead, he made great contributions to the Legion, such as getting rid of Bloodclaw!

Why, I'm Cosmic Boy meets pre-Adv #318 Sun Boy meets Foxmoor meets Superboy (Superman when he was a boy) of course!

I am very much like Lyle Norg. I thrive on positive reinforcement, can be very sarcastic, get threatened but try not to show it...
... and my LMB powers have evolved from invisibility to mastery of light.

I prefer your power progression to Lyle's. His went from invisibility to mastery of not breathing.

I agree that the Rocky/Polar Boy parallel is a really good one. They have a similar attitude and similar powers. They are also similarly underestimated.
I also really like Fanfie as Sensor Girl.
As for Peebz, he reminds me a bit of Ultra Boy in his boldness and power level.
The only character in all of literature who has been described as "badnass" while using the phrase "vile miscreant."

I think maybe Dirk is the LSH's Lardy. If you think of all the unsavory characteristics that were hinted at and where things went for him 5YL, the comparison seems somewhat appropriate. It's hard to compare their power levels, but you can argue that Dirk maybe had more potential with his powers than was ever reached.
Still "Lardy" to my friends!

Actually I designed him to be a bit like Ultra Boy, like the third strongest but with lots of powers so when he went up against Mon-El types he'd have to rely on fighting skill or tricks. I thought maybe Ultra Boy for EDE actually, since Jo's had a lot of bad luck over the years. I guess Ferro had worse luck though. ha!

The closest Legion analogue I can think of for Ex would probably be Leland McCauley: Not evil - but definitely an opportunist who does anything for a quick buck; whose schemes are always getting him into hot water; and who has a completely affected douchey hairstyle.

I joined the DC Legion boards about 10 months after the LMBP started and LW about four days after it was launched. This pattern is somewhat analogous to Mon-El joining temporarily in Adv 300 and then permanently in 305. (Okay, not really, but work with me.)
Mon was a character I always wanted to be like: He was the leader of the Legion during the first few years I read the book. He was Superboy's "big brother": a powerhouse but rather modest and unwilling to impose his will on others. He could take care of himself but didn't often feel the need to prove anything.
I also have a dash of Lyle, a dash of Garth, and a smidgen of Dirk (except the womanizing part).

The closest for me would be Brainiac 5 or Sensor Girl. A character often more defined by their family than their personality, and is judged by her last name.I envision Emily being pressured to be good at things from an early age. There is a sense that Emily could easily go completely evil like Brainiac 5 in the cartoon, but I do not see that happening in the LMBverse.
