If I were to combine various Legions this is how I picture the membership. Note the male to female ratio.
1 Cosmic Boy 1\0 2 Saturn Girl 1\1 3 Lightning Lad 2\1 4 Phantom Girl 2\2 5 Triad 2\3 (+2) 6 Chameleon 3\3 7 Colossal Boy 4\3 8 Invisible Kid 5\3 9 Supergirl 5\4 10 Brainiac 5 6\4 11 Superboy 7\4 12 Sun Boy 8\4 13 Ultra Boy 9\4 14 Star Boy 10\4 15 Shrinking Violet 10\5 16 Bouncing Boy 11\5 17 Matter-Eater Lad 12\5 18 Mon-El 13\5 19 Element Lad 14\5 20 Lightning Lass 14\6 21 Catspaw 14\7 22 Computo 14\8 23 Dragonmage 15\8 24 Dream Girl 15\9 25 Kid Quantum 16\9 26 Andromeda 16\10 27 Kinetix 16\11 28 Ferro Lad 17\11 29 Karate Kid 18\11 30 Nemesis Kid 19\11 31 Projectra 19\12 32 Gates 20/12 33 Chemical King 21/12 34 Timber Wolf 22/12 35 XS 22/13 36 Shadow Lass 22/14 37 Wilfire 23/14 38 Dawnstar 23/15 39 Blok 24/15 40 Polar Boy 25/15 41 Magnetic Kid 26/15 42 Tellus 27/15 43 Quislet 27/15/* 44 Celeste 27/16/* 45 Reflex 28/16/* 46 Night Girl 28/17/* 47 Chameleon Girl 28/18/* 48 Monstress 28/19/* 49 Queen Quantum 28/20/* 50 Chemical Kid 29/20/* 51 White Witch 29/21/* 52 Fade 30/21/* 53 Kid Quanta 30/22/* 54 Kono 30/23/* 55 Nightwind 30/24/* 56 Lamprey 30/25/* 57 Gizelle 30/26/* 58 Dream Boy 31/26/*

Quislet I've listed as gender neutral, Kid Quatnta is Jazmin Cullen, and Queen Quantum is the classic Wanderer. Fade is Jacques Foccard. Obviously, I only took it so far, so Firefist, Earth-Man, Glorith, Stone Boy, et al., are not as yet represented.
What would your lineup be?

Awesome lineup with a good male-female rato, KK! Like the inclusion of Nemesis Kid too.
I will have to give my ideal lineup some thought. So many variables to consider!

Thanks. The reboot did an excellent job of equalizing the female/ male ratio. I tried, but in combining all the elements I found it difficult. After the first expansion it was great. When Trip split there were 5 females in the room and only 2 males. After that the boys kept coming until Lightning Lass, and then I found room for both male and female characters that I would like to see in a "whole" Legion. I found the same problem with people of color. Kid Quantum could have been placed earlier, but it didn't make organic sense to me. I do picture them in rebootesque uniforms, per my preference.

In general I also do prefer the Reboot costumes, with some exceptions (classic Sun Boy, starfield Star Boy, bikini Dream Girl). And the Reboot was the only team, if I recall right, to have a 50-50 male-female split! I agree it's tough to achieve when your pool is all of Legion history - just too many male characters.

I tend to agree. I like the cover of "Guess who's back!?" with the uniforms of Dream Girl, Bouncing Boy, and Star Boy. Later artists had a problem with the starfield on Stor Boy's boots, and the whole busy-ness of his uniform (I kinda liked it). I loved Dream Girl's uniform on the cover: sexy, metallic, powerful, born of the great Adam Hughes. No other artist got it. They made it cheap and her breasts saggy. I always thought of Nura as using her sexuality diplomatically. She was never a slut. She loved Thom because he was the opposite of her: stable, monogomous, and an all-around "guy". The only real "guy" in the early LSH is Ultra Boy.

I can't even imagine what that means but I can believe it'd be a good story. Nice line-up. Lots of fun visualizing stories as I went down the list. Another time-line with the introduction of the baddies comes to mind as they suffer from a similar integration problem. 4,5,6,8: Bingo, espionage squad up early. I could see them meeting Shrinking Violet, maybe Dev-em early on, leading to offers of joining. Triad: I liked her introduction as an organizer and assistant. I'd probably go with that, she'd be Legion's Money Penny for a bit, but a field agent too. Think I'd have to go with "Triplicate" though as "Triad" just conjures a Chinese Mafia vibe to me. 16-17: BB and ME Lad. There has to be a comedy club somewhere in this story. You know, I don't recall at all the backstory of ME Lad's joining? Catspaw/Computo joining at the same time: I could see both of these as prisoners of Nardo, talk about interesting dynmaics. This one has mutual annoyance written all over it. A possible drawback from a reader's POV, these two with Quantum Kid will look like tokenism. Might be a story to do it justice, all of them prisoners taken from a mysterious disappearing island. Ugh, no. ADV 346-7: fairly sacred to me, though I think Dawnstar would fit into that story rather nicely. I'd move 28-31 up before Dragonmage. Can't visualize a reason for Dragonmage before Dream Girl and White Witch or for that matter Dream Girl that late? Kono with no Shakespeare I can't quite visualize. Kind of each other's raison d'etre. That was one of my favorite dynamics and stories. Nice way to start Sunday morning. Thanks!

I can't even imagine what that means but I can believe it'd be a good story. Probably (but correct me if I'm wrong KK!) it means that Nura uses her sexuality to her advantage - to get information, to get an enemy to lower his guard. And I agree, Nura was always smart and tactical and ambitious. I tend to agree. I like the cover of "Guess who's back!?" with the uniforms of Dream Girl, Bouncing Boy, and Star Boy. Legionnaires 16! How could I forget, it was so great seeing Nura as part of the SW6 team along with Chuck and Thom (at the cost of Ferro, but oh well...) And even then, she stood out from the rest of the SW6 ladies.

Seems a lot of semantics to separate honorable and dishonorable based upon intent, when the actions are the same. If in the 31st century there are morals defining when it is and when it is not okay to have sex, then I would think even Nura would have to explore her consciousness, presuming she was from a culture that prescribed to those morals. Sounds like a story possibility to me. Time to re-reboot. Lots of good stories still need telling.

Point well taken. That term is a lot stronger (and shaming) than I intended or was appropriate. What I meant was that Nura carried herself with a certain dignity that wasn't always translated well artistically.
