So, I'm trying to look up the real names and homeworlds of The Wanderers, and I can find nothing. Were none of them, not even Quantum Queen, ever given anything but a codename, and no hint as to a place of origin?

I think they visit Psyche's home planet in one of the issues of their series, but, for the most part, I don't think much was revealed about any of them.

Yeah, they've not appeared often enough for a non-wandering issue to seem anything other than wrong.

This article summarizes what happened on Psyche's home planet. I'm fond of Quantum Queen myself, if only for her cool new costume and the similarity of her powers to Invisible Brainiac's.

I've just read the Wanderers series in full for the first time! Not a particularly good read, but I now adore Quantum Queen!
It's also amazing how similar her powers are to Invisible Brainiac's own - the ultra-violet ghost is similar to my character's ability to split into seven; my character can also convert his body to light, travel across interstellar distances, fire lasers, and phase through transparent objects. And of course, turn invisible.

I'm sorry, did you say something? I thought I heard you say you wanted a laser through your brain...

You can see why people wanted them to Wander far away with that kind of attitude.

The Wanderers are so wonky. Two Justice League class super-lady powerhouses and a bunch of schlubs who make the Subs look like earthshaking world-class heroes...
'I can turn into birds! (please don't mention the dinosaur-sex thing, that's not what I want to be remembered for...)' 'I have a sword! And pointy ears that somehow don't make me as cool as Legolas *or* Spock!' 'I have darts!' (and later I'll become a less interesting version of Porcupine Pete!) 'I have a gun, and male pattern baldness, which did wonders for Dr. Druid's popularity!' 'After you kill my useless self, I get back up, making me the superhero equivalent of a Weeble!'
'Yeah, I can fly through space and shoot cosmically powerful energy blasts, 'cause I thought it might be handy if someone on this team had some actual *super-powers*.' 'And I can kill you with my mind, as well as do other useful psychic stuff, like solve crimes and interrogate witness and make people vomit uncontrollably for 48 hours whenever they hear the word 'cumquat.''

I find it refreshing that the two females were the most powerful of all! And Quantum Queen was probably the most well-adjusted personality too. Psyche, not so much, but then she couldn't help it...

I find it refreshing that the two females were the most powerful of all! And Quantum Queen was probably the most well-adjusted personality too. Psyche, not so much, but then she couldn't help it... Despite their power, both were considered to be less effective than their colleagues due to the nature of their editorially mandated Wanderer Adventures. For example: When a mastery of pub games was vital in defeating Doctor Domino, dart player supreme Dartalg was the key Wanderer. The key to the Lazarus Pit could only be found by endless tedious conversation in an old folks home. Step froward Immorto. Dark forces are threatening New Zealand. Luckily Elvar manages to infiltrate the Lord of the Rings set to save us. Spider Girl's power turned everyone's hair against them! Not a problem for Celebrand. Why does DCNu have loads of turkeys? Who better to check out turkey's than Ornitho, although he's now trapped in a Birds of Prey relaunch. So Psyche and QQ spent a lot of time on the sidelines, feeling unloved, really.

No wonder QQ jumped at the chance to became a rich and famous celebrity in the forgettable Wanderers series a while back!
And Psyche... well, she went all to pieces.
