I've been doing more with the 7 Unknown Earths, and I have a question.

How do you think it would feel if there was an Earth home to A: the non superhero comics DC has done, like Cinder & Ashe and the Human Target, or B: A more straightforward Vertigo Earth home to the early 90s books they did?

A.Could fall under Earth Prime 33, B. Earth Vertigo I can see as a deserving candidate.
What about the Timmverse, Wildstorm, Alan Moore universe's, Milestone, and perhaps a Public Domain Universe?

Wildstorm I see as Earth-25.

The Timmverse is technically Earth-12 because Batman Beyond.

Milestone was apparently reacquired from DC.

I'd rather DC left Moore's stuff alone.

And a public domain universe? Like, the characters from Quality?

I figured most of them, like the Quality ones, could operate out of Earth-10.

All of the others, maybe it would be best to let other companies have a shot at them. Other writers and artist might feel intimidated if they wanted to do something with Black Venus or the Heap and then suddenly DC or Marvel reveals they're doing a giant crossover with all these Golden Age characters they never used.

Yeah, I guess I just want to see a big pin-up by Jerry Ordway of every Golden Age character possible. I do love large groups.

How do you feel about a Hanna Barbara universe or one inspired by them with the Super-Friends, Apache Chief, Samurai, Black Vulcan, even Space Ghost, Bird Man and The Herculoids?

I see they have a Marvel (8), T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agents (39), Image (41) and I'm guessing Hell-Boy (7) inspired Earths?
What about Earths 34, 35 and maybe 36 any inspiration I'm not getting?

Love the idea of an Earth-Hanna Barbera!

Would love to see a Standard/Better/Nedor Earth as well as an Earth for each Golden Age publisher!

I completely believe in the idea of a Hanna-Barbera Earth, it's just that...

I'm only saying this from what I believe and, as a writer, what I hope to implement someday.

I believe that there's a separate Multiverse next to the 52, but part of the same system. And this Multiverse is the one home to the various cartoons, TV shows, films, and video games DC has. Beware the Batman, the Legion cartoon, Brave and the Bold, Batman 66, Wonder Woman 77, Birds of Prey, the Batman, Teen Titans, the DC Nation shorts, Christopher Reeves Superman, the Schumacher Batman movies, Lois & Clark, the Superfriends, the Hanna-Barbera cartoons, and all of that.

I believe this because I think it's safer for all of them to be in their own Multiverse than to be included in the 52, because it's less likely to have them turn into cannon foder for the next event. Look at Spider-Verse and the particular Spider characters that have been slaughtered.

I see what you're saying S K, I'd be happy if DC would just get the Legion right.

That's why I'm hopeful for The New Earth One, And a Legion book that has control over its 21st century and not subject to be destroyed by it.

Yeah I don't think the 52 worlds are all there is by any stretch of the imagination.

I'd love to discover that other worlds survived the original Crisis beyond the five that went into making up the post - Crisis Earth.

I'm going by what they were saying in Planetary, about how the Multiverse is designed like a snowflake, and the Anti-Monitor's rampage only destroyed "a branch" of it.

Oh I forgot to reply to this.

Earth-34 is an Astro City pastiche. Cosmoville, Savior (Samaritan), Cutie (Beautie), Master Motley (Jack-In-The-Box). The big guy, Goodfellow, is supposed to be Captain Marvel but based on Li'l Abner. I was surprised by Stingray being the Batman of this Earth though.

Earth-35 is Rob Liefeld's Extreme Studios. Supremo and Majesty are supposed to be like Supreme and Glory. That's why it has those arbitrary lines.

Earth-36 is Big Bang Comics. Optiman (Ultiman), Iron Knight (Knight Watchman), Flashlight (Beacon).

I, too, like the idea of a Hanna Barbera universe.

I'm currently taking a hiatus from fanfic writing so I can recharge my batteries, but at some point later this year, I'll definitely do a fanfic set in the Hanna Barbera universe.

Thanks, Sarky.

Just checked the earlier posts. So it is. Sorry, LWL, and thanks.

But LWL might not have suggested it without you leading the way, Sarky. So I still thank you, too.

I just stopped by this thread to ask if anyone got an Astro City vibe from Earth 34. Thanks, SK!

Morrison mentioned it in an interview but seeing the characters in person makes it a bit more obvious. Savior's pretty much Samaritan in reverse, in the sense that Samaritan comes from a future that doesn't exist anymore, while Savior's from an ancient civilization.

I like Herculina, but it's kind of weird offshot to go with when creating a Winged Victory expy.

Thanks Fanfic Lady!

Surprised there's no Valiant/Goldkey Earth either.

Y'know, I did have an idea for an alternate Earth version of Arsenal and Lightning Lad based on Archer & Armstrong respectively.

I've figured out a way to include the Vertigo Earth and the non-superhero comics Earth while keeping the Justice Guild.

Earth-49 can be the non-superhero Earth. The Guidebook said it was the most mysterious of the 7 Unknown Worlds, so it could be interpreted that this was their attempt to create a world that had heroes who were never superpowered.

Earth-28 is the Vertigo Earth.

And the Justice Guild can actually be from Earth-17, the Atomic Knights Earth. The JGA were from an Earth that went through WW3, right? It can be said that legends of the Guild were what inspired the names of the Atomic Knights.
