Just how did he manage to keep it combed off his forehead when in his Clark Kent alter ego? Did he have a large supply of Kryptonian Brylcreem?

I thought it was Sellotaped to his forehead.

That wasn't his first choice. There's a Superman issue in the '90s where he cries as he uses the last of the Kryptonian staples to keep it in place. He'd cry about pretty much everything back then.

I know that very early Superman stories more or less stated he had complete muscle control, so perhaps he used the muscles in his forehead to keep it back.

It would follow then that Superman would be an awesome pec bouncer. wink

^^Incidentally, I've long thought that would be the best way to explain how no one recognized him as just Clark Kent without glasses. He's able to shift his appearance just enough with his super-muscle control that no one recognizes him when he changes from one identity to another.

Superman: Ahllf snohpt thu mhuthrr
Luthor: What?
Superman: Sorry. Facial muscle control stops me speaking properly. I said "I'll stop you Luthor."
Luthor: Why, you're Clark Kent!
Superman: Oh rats.

Now he has to super-kiss Luthor to make him forget!

That's going to make Lois so jealous her emotion detector will go off. Superman hates jealous women smile
