Cool, but what's the Legion content in Legends of the DC Universe 80-page giant #1? That's the only issue I'm not familar with.
The rest of it looks like a pretty strange brew but I'm happy to see DC reprinting issue #300 and LSH #0. The latter is a much more entertaining telling of the Legion origin story than the original version, imo.

As Michael already pointed out it is actually LotDCU 80pg Giant #2. It has a 10 page story, at the end, called "Bedtime Story". A retelling of the Superman myth to the Legionnaires as children. Here's the Winath example:

In re-reading the story I remembered what I didn't like about it. It jumps around too much. Garth and Ayla being called babies. Rokk, in the previous page, being shown as old enough to babysit Pol (probably 2-3 years older than the Ranzz'). Then there's Imra shown as a SP cadet easily twice as old as either Rokk or Garth.
Never understood the reasoning behind the selection of ages.

Hey! How'd I miss that 80pg Giant story? Now I'm really pissed. Thought I had the entire "main" run.
That comment by Mom, having their secrets. Wouldn't a story about Mekt's secret twin be good? How ticked would Mekt be to find he did have a twin that was hidden/taken or some more imaginative such and that he'd been left to suffer for someone else's needs?

Wasn't sure whether to start a new thread on this, but I picked up "Eye For An Eye" today.
Do I have the original issues? Oh yeah. Matter of fact, bought the "Tales" reprints first, then went back for the back versions a few years later. Re-read the heck out of both. This is one of the Legion's finest tales, and it's worth while to be one of the few trades I'll buy at cover price for something I already own.
Anyone, there's a few nice treats for people who might be swayed by the extras:
* Foreward by Paul Levitz * Reprints of the "Tales" covers * Reprints of the LSH, LSV and Karate Kid page entries from the original Who's Who series.
I only wish they'd gone ahead and included the two-part Controller story and issue #9, which nicely wraps everything up. Ah well, I bought this one, and they probably aren't prone to do more if we don't buy what they put out.
Also glad to see the Legion get its own "Greatest Stories Ever Told" treatment. The DnA run getting a nod is bittersweet. Issue #3? Deserves to get reprinted, but the whole run does, too. Heh, I think it would have been exactly six years ago this month I picked that up. One of the great "Oh Sprock!" moments in LSH history.

I'm really digging An Eye for an Eye TPB.
We need to see the rest of Levitz/Giffen collected as well.

Not your traditional TPB would be April 9's "Showcase Presents: The Legion of Super-Heroes v. 2" coming out next year. I've tried getting the archives but they're quite pricey so the Showcase volumes, albeit B&W, are still a great item to have. As for "LSH: An Eye for an Eye", I picked it up 2 days ago and while I do have the singles it really just brings back all the memories...getting all googly-eyed on the field trip bus, having brought it along despite the fact that I had already read it numerous times before that trip. I've got lots of conspiracy theories as to why there's suddenly a Legion explosion...but after all these years of saying that DC hasn't done enough for the LSH, I'm just really, truly, genuinely happy that they've finally come around to it.
