the Legion does not appear in Justice League 3000. No Legionnaires appear. There is no United Planets. There are no flight rings. The only thing I took so far was one name of one planet, because it's the best name for a planet I've ever heard in my life. And I took that one name — I'm not even going to tell you what name it is, because there's a spoiler attached to it. But that's all I took. There may still be a Colu or some of the other planets, but I'm not planning to touch base on them right now. I'm not dealing with Legion mythos at all.
My guess is Xanthu, because I've always thought it was a cool name.

Xanthu would be my guess, too. I think just about any exotic name starting with X is immediately science-fiction-y.

As there's a plot spoiler attached to the name, it has to be something where it would be a dead give away what was going on...
Daxam would be my first bet.
I can't even remember the name of the Dominators homeworld, but if they're clones...
Venegar - if the Emerald Empress is turning up. Zerox - if they're summoned by magic. Khundia - if they need an army to fight.

Daxam is a strong possibility. It figured prominently in "Invasion." And it has an X in it, though obviously not at the beginning.

...because nothing says "Alien" more than having a "X" in the title

Hmm... maybe it's Tharr, and the twist is that this Flash doesn't really move at super speed, but slows down the molecular motion of everything else in the vicinity!

Isn't that more of a Phlon trick?

Maybe it's Lythyl. Giffen doesn't want us to know that the person in the Bat-costume is a new Val Armorr/Myg and will get killed before the end of the first issue bah double post

are readers ready for a comic where any one of the cast, could be any one of the cast? It's certainly expands that legion cliché of having Chameleon Boy, Proty or distorters performing the same trick

It's Giffen--with his sense of humor, it's most likely Bismoll...

Whichever planet shows up will probably be A) portrayed as kind of whacky and 'funny' or B) destroyed.
Probably not both, 'though. 'I Can't Believe It's Not Winath' might detract from the pathos of having it split in half and spiral into it's own sun.

Khundia or Elia - the Khunds or the Dominators always make good bad guys.

If they start off with the Khunds, they'll be fighting Mordru by the end of the first year

Ooh, Khundia. I could totally see Giffen using the Khunds, if only for a chance to get away with that word again.

We are talking *Giffen* and what his idea of *cool* is. I'd have to say "Gil Dishpan." (SP?) How the mention of that would give away anything is a mystery to me.

My first thought when I heard this was Daxam. We'll see.

Durla - because they are all dopplegangers? FINALLY! A built-in excuse for terrible characterization that doesn't involve absentee editors and/or three-martini lunches!

Durla is a good one, and could be construed as spoiler-y, since the presence of Durla implies that someone is not who they appear to be...
Good catch.

So Giffen has thrown out a dog biscuit to us Legion fans hoping we play fetch with Justice League 3K. Sorry, but this is one Legion fan who refuses to fall for the ploy. I won't read his new comic no matter how many bones he throws our way!

I think it's more that he couldn't leave it completely alone, and just really liked the name. I'm not sure it's a tease.
I'd certainly not buy a comic based on that.
I can only hope for a similar distance from the Legion for as long as it lasts. As long as the Legion Levitz left behind is kept somewhere safe.
While a book of JLA clones should be able to stand on it's own feet, I'd hate for some sort of JLA/Legion crossover that brings in the Levitz character. If sales get desperate enough who knows?
