Anyone else intrigued by this culmination of years of Jonathan Hickman's storytelling? It includes big, cosmic stuff bringing together several Marvel groups that are usually at each other's throats. Skrulls, Kree, Sh'iar (including the Imperial Guard) out in space... Wakanda, Atlantis and Attilan on Earth are all facing challenges from a great old enemy and from encroaching- well, entities more than enemies.
The new cosmic characters are confounding, but then they' re meant to be. New Avengers like Ex Nihilo and Black Swan are interesting characters, but are not yet fully available to the reader (or the other Avengers) tonconnect with due to the nature of the mutiple threats.
The clearest story is that of Thanos and his generals/messengers/more-than-lackeys sent to Earth with a stated goal masking a secret one (we're led to believe at this point). This clandestine goal is apparently deciphered by Black Bolt and involves entries in hidden archives of his predecessors and/or obscured identities of someone or ones closer to home.
I love the Inhumans and am excited (and a bit fearful) of an expanded role central to what seems to be a big Marvel tentpole story.

I don't think you have to worry about the Inhumans. They're getting their own book soon.
But as for Infinity, Jonathan Hickman bores me. I'm giving it a pass.

One is going to follow from the other, though.

Issue #1 was epic and fantastic. It seems to be that even with the incredibly complex plot Hickman laid out in the first issue, it's still all a bit too strait-forward. I'm hoping there are a few more odd twists and turns.
I'm really anxious and excited about Black Bolt and the rest of the Inhumans. I'm a big fan of them too, but I know Hickman is and trust them in his care.
