Legion World Forums LEGION CLUBHOUSE The Legion of Super-Heroes WHO is the mysterious 5th member of the Fatal Five??

In an effort to generate some excitement about this "story" currently running the Legion's title into the ground, let us have some wild speculation on who the 5th member of the new/old Fatal Five might be!

I have a terrible suspicion it is Sensor Girl! Reasons follow:

* She is from a medieval stylez world and would not be all that fussed by the vast collapse of technology across the UP (Orando in fact might benefit from it as one of the few worlds to not incur bazillions of credits of damage and huge loss of life)

* We saw previously that Validus and the Persuader's axe were both apparently in jail still due to...AN ILLUSION!! And an illusion which was only penetrated by Legionnaires who might be a bit more used to such things than your average Sci-cop!

* The most important reason: making Jeckie EEEEVIL outta nowhere would really crap all over her history and character, and not make much sense - so pretty par for course for this version of the Legion really!

Any other suggestions/thought? LET US PONDER!

Maybe the Retroboot Projectra was replaced by the Threeboot version!

It could also be Kinetix! She managed to coalesce her energies after Mordru absorbed them, and has been secretly manipulating Mysa all this time! And why not sh*t on the Postboot Legion again, when they've done so much of that already?

It's totally Quislet.

His so-called friends and teammates abandoned him to slavery when he was forced to return to Teall, and when he found his way back, they barely even acknowledged his presence (sending him off to the 21st century to pretend to be a camera!), and only belatedly noticed when he got fed up and quit!

Buildings in the 31st century don't just crumble for no reason because the power went out for a minute, they are crumbling because Dark Quislet has used the quark relays to expand his power to inhabit and destabilize matter, allowing him to temporarily possess entire cities, and leaving them weakened and crumbling!

Little do the rest of the Fatal Five realize that they are just his pawns, distractions to keep the Legion from discovering that all this carnage is but the prelude to the Teallan Invasion, as Quislet leads his emancipated people to freedom from the oppressors in Teall in this glorious new dimension!

Harmonia as she wants the universe to return to a more natural way of life, and she's like so evil and fooled everyone

It's Tenzil. Remember when he quit the Legion off-screen? He's pissed that none of his so-called friends ran after him.

He managed to go into Hypertime (remember that old concept?) and is eating at reality from the outside. That's why we have Legionnairs acting out-of-character (Tenzil ate their personalities!) and stupid things happening all around.

Comet Queen. She always was somewhat insane. Although I really suspect Harmonia is up to something evil. And what about Gym'll's nephew, who sort of died but could be a gaseous being out there somewhere?

Evidently, the fifth member is really Dangling Plots Lad, who unravels the universe.

Interesting that it's all Legionnaires we're selecting. It could be Mano, but a Mano whose power is so devastating that he's kept as the final, ultimate weapon should all else fail.

Paul is going to go all 4th wall on us and it will be either him or Giffen. Maybe that dedidio guy if Paul can get it past the editors.

Still trying to figure out the Promethean Giants angle in all this, I'm thinking it's either Darkseid or Desaad. Mano will be a no-show.

Metron always had a fascination with the Source wall (from which the Promethean Giants come), and, even as a protagonist, was kinda cold-blooded in an Ozymandian sort of way, I wonder if Metron could be the Fatal Fifth?

It's totally the Time Trapper.

Either that or the Trapper shows up in some massively meta way in the last issue.

It's Plaid Lad. That's the only way this story can go from zero to hero.

Of course, if it's NOT the Trapper, it's TOTALLY Hateface!

Plaid Lad, Dynamo Boy, and Hate face are all revealed to be the same character! Also, Fortress Lad.

it's a souped-up Calamity King! He's causing everything to fall apart (literally and figuratively), including the personalities of our heroes!

Ooh, or his never-before-mentioned twin sister, Eryn Davice Ester, aka Catastophe Queen!

oh, I actually forgot about that one media guy who looked suspiciously like Universo! Good call!

Calamity King might make the whole thing worth it just for craziness value too

5th member should br Mano, slimply because out of all the fatal five he really is the most creepy member.

All of these are good suggestions ... in fact I think it is ALL OF THEM.

now who has the power to change into so many different characters ... thus juggling the Legionnaires in her wicked web ....

Seriously... if it turns out to be someone cool like Calamity King, or Anti Lad, or Dynamo Boy... I'm totally reevaluating my opinion of this entire run.

Well, nobody guessed it in this thread, although Kid Quislet came close.

To be fair I'm not sure anyone would have seriously suggested who it was.
