Well, like Fat Cramer, I hope this is just a rumor because I'm getting too old for this crap.
sigh

I liked the TMK years AND the original LOST arc.
I also liked the Legionnaire/SW6ers and the rebooted rebuilding of the Legion.
Phase, as mentioned earlier, was fun in dotLEGION, too.

I don't see why the Legion has to be 'officially' dropped to a few members, really.
It's silly.
Especially since so many of the team members are already dead, lost or retired.

I WOULD put the kids and their teachers back in the Academy, with the addition of Rokk, Tasmia, Nura and Thom as teachers (plus Lydda, Chuck and Lu, of course), with Paul and Phil doing the creative work there.
The original Adventure stories were a pretty successful run, weren't they?

Then, I'd just have the current Legion team include who's left ~
Mon
Cham
Brainy
Vi
Ayla
Harmonia
Tinya
Jo
Jan
Brek.
I'd might add Drura and Laurel Gand, too.

People could rotate in and out as needed.
We know that Jan leaves for awhile, as does Lar.
Or at least, they did previously in different storylines that have been shown with this timeline, sort of.

No composites or Legacy types, please.

Maybe that's the idea. Out with the old, in with the new. Or not, as the case may be.

I do not know for that they want to reduce the cast of the Legion.
If from it began this new 52 stage, the protagonists have been always Brainiac 5, Ultra Boy, Cosmic Boy, Mon-El, Dream Girl and Element Lad.
And the new ones... Glorith, Harmonia, Dragonwing, Chemical Kid and Comet Queen, which are not of the popular taste.
All the rest have been like stars invited in them own series.
Adding 7 members lost in the past.
In proof to see the cover of 21 .. again Brainiac 5 and Ultra Boy. The poor Lightning Las has had her first cover in years...

I guess I have to post this list to get it out of my system.

List: Justice League related or descended heroic characters seen in the 31st century, with a few (*) interpolations

1. Superman-related: Mon-El, Ultra Boy, Laurel Gand, Laurel Kent, Kent Shakespeare, Thunder, Klar Ken T5477, Superboy, that other Superboy, Supergirl, that other Supergirl

2. Batman-related: Wow, these are scarce. Brainiac 5. Timber Wolf. Karate Kid. A Brainiac5-Timber-Wolf-Karate-Kid amalgam. Brane Taylor. That unnamed Wayne private detective murdered by Amazo. Celebrand?
(*) A teen-robot Robin? Or maybe there is a world where everyone is descended from Kirk & Francine Langstrom?

3. Wonder-Woman-related: Princess Xenobia from New Themiscrya (or any 31st-century Amazon from New Themiscrya)
(*) Shadow Lass? Gazelle? Dawnstar?

4. Green-Lantern-related: Mon-El, Rond Vidar, Jordana Gardner, Celeste Rockfish-McCauley, Rainbow Girl, Polar Boy (powersless against the color yellow)
(*) Bizarro Yellow Lantern Le-Mon

5. Flash-related: XS; Inertia / Kid Zoom / Thaddeus Thawne
(*) Ultra Boy, permanently stuck in ultra-speed mode?

6. Aquaman-related: Lamprey, Tellus, Devil-Fish (hurrah!)

7. Martian-Manhunter-related: In the 21st century, there are at least a dozen Martians on Earth, as well as thousands (millions?) of Bokkite Saturnian refugees settled on various moons in the Solar System. However, aside from some possibly ambiguous appearances by JJ himself, we have not seen Martians or Bokkites per se in the 30th or 31st centuries.
At least, I haven’t.
(*) On the other hand, give one of the Protys telekinetic powers, and you have a pretty good simulacrum of a Martian.

Some mix of this group might actually be a great team of super-villains for the Legion to face.
