I really like Scott's backgrounds, they're so full of fun details. He's better than I remember.

Still cannot get on with Scott Kollins artwork especially his figure work ( what on earth is going on with Rokks face on the second page?) but the story seems to be continuing its current upward trend. Also I always enjoy an election issue but the sooner Giffen, Portella or WS Lowry comes on the art the better.

This looks like it'll be fun - love the plotting by Brainy to get elected and it's good to see Dirk again. As Jay Kay said above, Hadru's man crush on Jan is funny. I liked Cham's eyes in this.
Hopefully we'll see the old academy kids now based on Tarkon-Galtos in this issue - I wonder how Berta, Mandalla, Jed and Tel on. Oh and Crystal Kid of course.
Legion Worlds Ten - the final chapter is here. Find out the ultimate fate of our fantastic future friends.Only found in the Bits o' Legionnaire Business Forum.

The preview felt like a Legion issue of old. I think the real Paul Levitz is finally back at the helm!

The issue is certainly promising! Lots of nice character bits and insights in the preview alone. I just wish they'd squeeze in a bit more, the panels seem too big with too little happening.
More insight into Harmonia's age. How in heavens did she become immortal? Like the reference to both Harmonia and Dragonwing being of Chinese descent, at least it's not being ignored.
Just like Cham to take the initiative. This is beginning to feel like the Legion of old!
Wonder who those other sentients in the cafeteria were. Legion support staff?

Pretty good issue, even though it's all set up. We get some nice character bits all around. And of course the new Legion Leader is....

I enjoyed this issue as well, including it's tie-in to Legion Lost. Not a whole lot of action, but great much needed characterization with the whole Legion team. Interesting reveal of the next Legion Leader. A lot of Legion World folks must have voted in this election. Issues like this make me miss the old letter columns where Levitz would print up the actual vote tally. It was always interesting to see how many votes each legionnaire actually got.

He regrew it on Daxam. Wasn't that last series?
Anyway, definitely a solid setup issue for the next arc, though I didn't realy dig Kollins's art. Let's hope the rest of the storyline holds up.
And I'm thrilled with the new leader!

One interesting observation. The final panel of this issue resembles what the Legion Lost team discovered when they journeyed to 31st century Earth in Legion Lost #10. Perhaps DeFalco and Levitz were working together after all. Interesting foreshadowing by Wilfire, Dawnstar, Timber Wolf and Gates if it turns out to be true.

For the election result alone this was easily the best issue of the current run. Luckily though the story continued the books upward swing in terms of quality with the Fatal Five mystery shaping up nicely. Still nit a massive fan of the art but even that was (on the whole) improved.

I'm glad this time that Phantom Girl is the new leader. Nice touch was to see Saturn Girl in the monitors reading the mind of Comet Queen. Only Imra can repair the whole damage that Saturn Queen caused the poor Grava. I only hope with the new storyline with The Fatal Five in the horizon, some old favorites returns to the main team (Imra, Garth, Gim, Projectra, Luornu and Lydda) And seems that Violet has changed her color of hair into this number. Now it is a reddish brown and not the black of all her incarnations..
From UK with glamour.

This is probably a mistake as her hair is still black on the cover. Why, why, why is it so difficult to get the hair color right on a character that has been around FOREVER?

Wow, after voting for Tinya in the last election, I think I actually voted for Ayla this time. (I don't remember!)
Awesome!

Good to see Tinya finally taking a leadership role! As one of the most senior Legionnaires, it'll be interesting to see how she handles. Also nice to see a female Legionnaire, and also one of those who seems to get along well with everyone, in the role. And seems that Violet has changed her color of hair into this number. Now it is a reddish brown and not the black of all her incarnations..
This is probably a mistake as her hair is still black on the cover. Why, why, why is it so difficult to get the hair color right on a character that has been around FOREVER? Dream Girl was also mistakenly colored as blonde in some issues in the last series, I think. Ah well...

Well, with Giffen coming on board to stink up the artwork and my least favorite Legionnaire as leader, it has finally happened and I think it is time to finally dump this series. I started with the Legion when I was 12 (Superboy & the Legion #223 being my first issue I ever bought) and never thought anything could kill my love for the Legion, but it has happened. Maybe someday when Giffen learns to draw again or better yet has another one of his famous tantrums and quits, and they kill Phantom Girl (worst character) once and for all, I'll come back. Sad day for me.
I am smelling like a rose that somebody gave me on my birthday deathbed.

She has never been one of my favorites (except when she was Phase in L.E.G.I.O.N) but I have never disliked her either. I'm curious to know what is it you don't like about her? Her continued deference to her bf UB is the only thing that bugs me about her sometimes. I think it's an interesting choice for leader as we have never seen her in this role before and at least it's something different. Curious to see how she does considering they are about to face some of their worst (and most powerful) enemies in the F5

Uuuugghhh...one of my least favorite Legionnaires is going to be leader? BUMMER. But hey! What was it I was saying about choices that annoy me being more interesting than the run-of-the-mill? Guess now I've gotta eat crow.
Still...TINYA? REALLY? I've always found her character very annoying. She's always been one of those flat, boring characters for me, constantly defined by her relationship and not by much else. Still, maybe this will make her character expand and become more than just "Joe's girlfriend who everybody likes".

The thing about Tinya is that, while she was almost always part of a relationship, she was frequently the dominant partner. That seems to be especially true in this boot.
And frankly, many people ARE part of a 'couple' and that fact helps to define them to others. I tend to like that. It's fairly rare, in real life AND even more so in comics.

I pretty much have no opinion on Phantom Girl as leader. From what I've seen, there isn't a whole lot there that makes her interesting, but that could be because, from what I've seen, they've almost never explored her.
If this means we can get some more depth and make her more interesting, they hey, coolbeans, but until then...okay.

HAHA. Perhaps the fact that I'm annoyed by that fact in real life filters into how I view Tinya. How appropriate, as I had that conversation with one of my pals just the other day. Hopefully, this new role will allow Tinya to be...more of a rounded person. I'm rooting for it!
