I've been in the wonderful city of Toronto since Tuesday, spending time with the ever-lovely Eishuu and her sister, Maiji. Today, we're about to head out the door to go to Anime North! I'm going to be helping Eishuu and Maiji run their booth in the Artist's Alley. If any LegionWorlders are thinking of going to Anime North, drop by and say hi!! (And buy something. Heh heh heh.) Their booth is called "Time and Tide," and you can recognize me easily because I'll be wearing a reindeer antlers headband with bells on it.
Also, current plans feature me singing in the karaoke event tonight. Be afraid... very afraid.
Just on the off chance that there's any Toronto-based LWers who'd been considering going to Anime North!

You're breaking my heart, Mearl. I'd booked a flight & room for the TCAF two months ago and had to cancel Wednesday night. Major disappointment! But I hope you're having a wonderful time at the Anime festival.
Maybe Arachne is going? She's in Ottawa + loves manga/anime.

I'm lucky that the Virginia/DC area is big on manga and anime. We get several big cons here and lots of specialty stores.

Well, Anime North was great! The hotel was a decent walk from the convention center where the Artist Alley and dealer room was, so we had to carry the boxes of art-type items a pretty healthy way, but it wasn't too bad. I mostly bought a ton of One Piece stuff in the dealer room... lots of plushies. Ah, so cute...
Eishuu and her sister did a decent business, too, and have plans to be in the artist alley again next year. Eishuu also says "Hi, Legion World People!"
Flying home to Texas tomorrow. Sigh, I'll miss Toronto... Now, to figure out how to fit all these comics and plushies into my luggage!

Home safe and sound! I probably won't post pictures of the things I got, unless someone here reaaaaally wants to see a bunch of One Piece plushies and books. It was a great trip, but it's good to be home too. Too bad no LW folks were going to Anime North!

Well... I find myself without a working digital camera for the moment, so I improvised a little, and stuck one of the plushies right on my flatbed scanner. It came out... uh... okay? It's a little hard to see, but I'm really happy with the plushie, especially the details on Nami's sandals and the Log Pose on her wrist. I also got a Chopper plushie, a Robin plushie, and two Usopp plushies... but those don't seem to be 'flat' enough to really work okay on the scanner.  ![[Linked Image]](http://www.planetcolu.com/upload/namiplushie.jpg) Now, to go sit Nami on my Krypto plush's back as though she were riding a horse...
