The LMBP did get it saved, but it faded away anyway a few months after that. With the change of the CBR Forums to new software, it was restored, but only lasted about a year and a half, whereupon its threads were folded into the DC Universe forum, where they are now.

Thanks Grey, I was wondering what happened to that place. I noticed that the CBR website changed too over the years, so I thought that might have something to do with it. It's funny though how the LMBP pretty much ensured it's survival for a few extra months! That's really a tribute to Loser Lad.

As we know, year five started with the move to Legion World. This also meant the crisis that included this move and the death of Space Tart. EDE said he'd be making a onevision dealing with this.

From there, Princess Crujectra and EDE were elected leaders. The following events are previously chronicled in this thread. However, for anyone unsure, all the posters who joined Legion World that were not already LMBP members, were then drafted into the LMBP!

That means, Abin, Harbinger, Sonnie, Numf, Danny B, Italian Boy and others then joined around the same time. A bunch of posters already posted on when and how they joined.

I've more or less chronicled things from that point up until recent history, and will keep things moving from there.

Continuity-wise, the tag threads at Legion World go in this order: Assault on Thora, Return of Dev-Em, Ms. Grundy visits SHAKES and then the Ongoing thread. I'll go through in detail all the events in those and other stuff happening here on the Monitor board.


For year four, there are still a few questions that I have concerning the continuity, that maybe Kid Prime and EDE can help me with. I was the first leader with Omega Man, and then Ultra Matt had a long term with Greybird, and then there was two leaders and two deputies. Those terms' continuity is pretty much summed up in the tag threads Hot Summer Nights, Doom of the Super Heroes and then Super Jailhouse of Space. These stories introduced a lot of characters of tidbits to LMBP continuity and can almost be considered one big story. I've read them all now, but may have to go back to make sure I record all the things that happened in them. I really need KP and EDE's help on that though!

And now that Cru has the Outpost updated, and since I've been going through the back log at the yahoo site, there a few more things and people that were left out that I remembered and I can add in. So we can get the continuity of years one through three strait.

Two more tag threads in year two that were left out are "Emerald Ass of Ekron" which was quickly deleted once Kid Therod entered it to destroy it , and the Death of Bellbookcandle Kid (Seahorse retroactively) which never got very far.

So that's the next few projects. I hope KP and EDE can help me with the "Year Four trilogy"!

Ok, here's what I can recall of Hot Summer Nights off the top of my head (and this is only the high points of continuity, not a complete summary):

-Space Tart gains the power to pull things out of people's asses (although this was originally Teeds, then the Princess but was later retroactively changed so that it was Spacey all along).

-Eyrk Davis Ester is introduced to the LMBP, although doesn't join until Doom of the Super Heroes.

-Omega Man is turned into France, as Turns You into a Country Fred is introduced. Later in the story, he become important.

-Beds begin falling on people, and we learn that it is the doing of Lucifer Lass.

-The One called the One is introduced as the LMBP's new villian mastermind. Lucifer Lass at first works for her, and then later strikes out on her own.

-Nads-Kicker Lad is introduced, as well as Frankie Muniz and Gary Coleman who both join. Both Gary and Frankie die during this thread (or the sequels).

-Kid Prime joins the LMBP by the end of Hot Summer Nights.

-Turns You Into a Country Fred and Lucifer Lass get it on.

-Poverty Lad fights his nemesis Mike Ock.

-The Moon falls apart on Earth. The universe is also destroyed various times but is saved. One way is Teeds (retroactively Spacey) pulls it out of someone's ass.

-Hal Jordan/Jar Jar Binks comes back as Paralax. This is the other side of the LMBP Spectre that now exists (mind of Foodmaker, body of Donna, power of Spectre). This is a confusing point, so this one will just go with as that.

-Captain Lightbulb is introduced. The Light Brigade isn't until later.

-Greybird loses his wings in the ultimate sacrifice and becomes Bounty. He gets his wings back during the five page gap.

-Lancerealm wrote a poem on Amperstands.

-Non-Sequitor joined the LMBP somewhere in here too I think.

There is of course, as always, more that I'm forgetting. By the end though, it was deleted and subsequently there was a "Five Page Gap" where much was explained.

Next was the Doom of the SuperHeroes, which I haven't read in awhile, so forgive me. Here's what I can remember off the top of my head, then I'll come back:

-EDE is seen again working at an ice cream parlor that is sometimes a parlol.

-The One called the One, Lucifer Lass and Turns you Into a Country Fred are all back.

-Captain Lightbulb and the Light Brigade are introduced which includes many alternate versions of EDE, as well as Kid Prime. If KP wasn't an LMBPer already by the end of the last story, he was by this one.

-I think EDE joins in this story.

-The connection between Lardy and EDE starts becoming apparent.

hm, now that I'm writing it, I think I'm going to have to go back and re-read this one. I'm not as sure as I was with Hot Summer Nights.

Another part of Hot Summer Nights:

-Pornis is introduced as a villian with his two underlings (forget their names now).

Yikes! How'd I miss that? At least I got them back, unlike Sis! Serves me right for only dipping into reading this madness occasionally.

I'll post a more detailed summary of Year Four as I see it later on, but here's a couple of points:

--I don't actually join until after "The Super-Jailhouse" story. I'm introduced briefly in "Hot Summmer Nights" (though many of my clones have a much bigger part), join the Light Brigade as Boy of 1000 Faces in "Doom of the Super-Heroes", serve as a member of the LB in "The Omega Man Gambit" (which also reveals my family connections to Pornis), and become a power-mad cosmic villain (perhaps as a result of finding out Pornis is my father) in "The Super-Jailhouse". One task of the onevision I'm planning (if I ever get around to writing it), will be to explain how exactly I joined the LMBP and earned their trust enough to be elected deputy leader once Legion World is founded.

--Another major theme of the year is the rivalry between the One Called the One and Pornis, which basically parallels the Glorith/Mordru rivalry from v4. The One Called the One (and her agent Lucifer Lass) are motivated to try to destroy all nads in a misguided attempt to prevent Pornis from gaining control over the mystical nads of Omega Man, which would allow him to completely reshape the universe is his own image (which he briefly does in "Hot Summer Nights" before it gets deleted).

--Kippers is introduced as a supporting character in "Hot Summer Nights", but plays a key role in defeating the One Called the One. He is offered a spot in the LMBP, but chooses to join the Light Brigade to be with Captain Lightbulb, who he starts dating during "Doom of the Super-Heroes". When their relationship ends, he joins the LMBP proper.

Thanks EDE! I started re-reading Doom of the Super Heroes last night, but it's too long to go over in just one night! I notice that you may have the most confusing continuity of all, I love it! The intro to the Light Brigade is funny too, my favorite character being Nobody.

I think my favorite character is Turns You Into a Country Fred throughout all of these stories. The fact that he looks like Freddie Prinze Jr. and hooked up with Lucifer Lass are pretty funny as well!

Okay, so as part of my efforts to help straigten out the continuity of Year Four, I'm going to write profiles of some of the major characters, beginning with that arch-villainess, The One Called the One!

PROFILE: The One Called the One

While little is known of the true origins of the One Called the One, what has been discovered is that in the recent past she was impregnated by the evil creature known as Pornis, and apparently gave birth to Siamese twins joined at the ass. These twins, whom she named Anthony and David, were quickly separated and sent to foster homes to hide them from their father.

Anthony eventually became a Lard Knight and co-founded the LMBP as Lardlad, while David was adopted by the Ester family, who added the name "Eryk", so that he became Eryk David Ester, which was eventually changed to Eryk Davis Ester.

While the details of the One's relationship with Pornis are not known, it is clear that she quickly became horrified at his determination to conquer the universe and reshape it in his own image. She set out to stop him. Knowing that he drew power from masculinity everywhere, she set about to destroy the source of his power by eliminating the nads of every male. A bit of extreme plan, yes, but that's what she came up with it. And she managed to recruit a number of agents to help her, including Lucifer Lass (unbeknownst to her a red kryptonite clone of her son EDE) and the Emerald Empress. Using techniques known only the feminist villains such as herself, she managed to mind-control the female LMBPers into helping her as well!

Her basic plan involved using the mystical nads of Omega Man, which contained a power that could be used in a spell to destroy all nads everywhere and forever. To this end, she sent the Emerald Empress to locate Omega Man and his nads. Unbeknowst to her, the Tid-D Bowl Man, who took care of the Trapper Crapper of Doom for the Time Mouse Trapper, had discovered her plans, and, being male, thought it best to stop her. He sent his agent Turns You Into a Country Kid to hide Omega Man's nads by turning him into France. He further enlisted the help of Lardlad, who agreed to keep an eye (no pun intended) on the Emerald Empress. The Tid-D Bowl man cast a spell on Lardlad which allowed him to track the Emerald Empress as long as she was naked, which he sent his operative Clothes-Fall Off Fred to insure.

Unfortunately for her plans, she was apparently destroyed when a chunk of the moon hit her headquarters, killing her. While Lucifer Lass kept her agenda going while she was dead, it was not until a series of reboots and retcons restored her to life that she was able to proceed with it fully. In the midst of all these reboots/retcons, she discovered the existence of the Hypertime Bar, which had a power to resist reboots, a power which she decided she could harness in her efforts against Pornis.

Unfortunately, Pornis beat her to acquiring the device that made the Hypertime Bar immune to retcons, and used it to achieve his goal of reshaping the universe in his image. This was the infamous Pornisverse Saga, the details of which are lost in the annals of the Five-Page Gap. What is clear, is that once the universe was changed back to normal and Pornis retreated, she engaged in a massive battle with the LMBP, in which she was defeated through the help of the LMBP's new ally Kid Prime, and a spell was cast on her which wiped her of her memory and caused her to speak only in Fuddspeak. For some strange reason, she began calling herself Lisp Lass at this point. It is also know that Blok, one of the members of the LMBP super-pets, sacrificed himself in the process of defeating the One.

This thread is great, a great way to remember the history of the LMBP, including the recent history on Legion World.

My next plan is to update this thread for Princess Crujeckie's whole term as leader. And then, begin sketching out a skeletal timeline from the formation of the LMB to the present day.

Stu, I'm pretty sure that within these pages, you'll find almost every LMBer that ever joined being discussed!

Even Cobalt Kid's reverse image (and dire nemesis), the flaxen-haired Saffron Kid (a.k.a. Saffie)?

Saffie? Jeepers, could this arch-villian be about?

I WILL get to making that timeline too...

Anyone else want to start going through all the events in the last two months on Legion World? Tag Team stories, other things? The Elections? The Triumvirate? Was there anything else wacky ?

And I hope people are still interested in this thread ...

A brief note as to the designations "LMBP" and "LMB," which have been used interchangeably to indicate the same group.

I posited a while back that "LMBP" stood for Legion of Message Board Posters, while "LMB" stood for the group's other name, Legionnaires of the Message Board.

So both mean the same thing!

I keep meaning to get that outline all set up now that the info for the continuity is fairly strait, but I've been so busy .

My current Onevision, "The Price of Security", which takes place right now in continuity, is taking up some time.

And does anyone care to comment on recent events in Legion World continuity? What has happened in the last few months since the Assault on Thora?

The leader elections, the triumvirate, Dark Cramer, etc. Have there been other things missing from continuity?

And does anyone (Chuck!) want to go through and give a summary of what happened in Ms. Grundy visits SHAKES, or (Dev, Lucien, Sharky) the Return of Dev-Em, and then the ton of stuff that's happened in the Ongoing Tag Thread (IB, FC, Chuck, Numf, etc.)?
