Deddy's suggestion is such a good one that all Security Office personnel should be immediately equipped with life-saving Slinkys!

They can even be used as handcuffs smile

The question of gear for our honorable LMBers in the field is SO interesting! It brings up a candid conversation I was having with one of the noble volunteers on my grass-roots election campaign, and what HE said was, "Winema, do you know that if I had a hammer, I'd hammer in the morning. I'd hammer in the evening. I'd hammer all over this land! Why, I'd hammer out danger, and I'd hammer out a warning, and I'd even hammer out love between my LMB brothers and my LMB sisters, all OVER this land!"

Well, I couldn't let such a heartfelt exposition of carpentry go unheard, now could I? Not to mention the amount of multitasking goodness my staffer could accomplish with such a sturdy implement! So therefore, when you ask me what item of gear I would support adding to our LMBers in the field, I simply, humbly must answer...

A hammer.

That's quite interesting - I didn't even know that Pete Seeger was a member of the LMB.

I'm not running, but I'd equip everyone with a mustache silhouette identifier. This handy little device would analyze the silhouette of a mustache and instantly indentify to whom said mustache belonged. A must have for all true crime fighters.

Quislet:

Enough is enough is enough. I can't go on, no I can't go on about the ways in which a person can change and grow.

Of COURSE there are always ways in which people can adopt a more... enlightened stance on issues. For example, I used to be very pro-humanoid. Some in the past have slandered my past stance on this issue, calling me anti-animal. But I have since realized that even the dumb beasts and stupid little bugs of the LMB have every right to participate in the democratic process, even if it means that the end result is a less considered choice. Such is the price we must pay for our freedoms, my dears. So let us have no more discussion of changing viewpoints, waffling, or other questions designed to pander to a more, um... 4-, 6-, or 8-footed segment of our society.

I want these kinds of questions out... I want them out that door now. Enough is enough is enough.

For Quislet's dinner: a well-balanced meal is important. Some roast chicken, green bean vinaigrette, curried rice with vegetables and a couple of date squares. Pick it up at your local grocery store deli counter and send me the bill.

Quislet, May I suggest a nice Chicken Fettucine Alferedo, lightly seasoned with oregano and some added parsley for colour.
Go out to the finest Italian restaurant in your area and order it. and um...send the bill to Fat Cramer.

I would go for some grilled Salmon and veggies, a nice salad and some ice cream for dessert. Get some sweet tea to drink. Send the bill to Cobie for me.

Question for all candidates:

Pink Floyd without Roger Waters - High-quality AOR or overproduced piffle?

I far prefer the earlier Pink Floyd stuff and feel the quality of their music seriously declined after the release of the "The Wall", so I'm going to have to go with overproduced piffle.

If I may ask a question of the candidates:

What would you do to ease the growing tension between the LMB and the People's Democratic Planet Mercury?

Pink Floyd sans Waters: come home, Roger, come home. Why did so many people, even my rock-challenged self, tune into the Live 8 broadcast after ignoring Pink Floyd for so many years? Tired of piffle, no doubt.

Unless by AOR you meant Association of Reflexologists, in which case my answer would be the opposite.

N'Chaka, there may be troublesome elements spoiling for a fight with Mercury, but I am not among them. I propose a generous trade program with Mercury, including a full-scale restaurant exchange. Nothing resolves a misunderstanding like a good meal.

The citizens of Throon must surely benefit from the increased consumption of cantaloupe, rich in antioxidants - and this is to be encouraged, not condemned.

Candidates:

As Kid Marvel and Rockhopper Lad prepare to step down, many of us are delighted with their service as LMB leader and Deputy respectively. There are some senior members of the LMB that are considering offering a large 'leadership bonus' of booze, free movie tickets, muffins and dime-store novels.

Yet, since this massive prize is more than many LMBers have made in 8+ years of service, many feel that these bonuses are running amok.

The question is, without increasing incentives like muffins and soft-core porno, how can we keep the job of LMB leader attractive, and maintain a healthly level of competitive spirit among the candidates?

Already, experts like Dr. Mayavale and Tamper Lad are predicting that future generations of LMB leaders might inflate threat levels to make the bottom line of the term as leader much more pronounced, and then recieve even greater bonuses--some as obscene as even whole cakes or dinners!

I think this issue must be addressed.

I think that the honor of being elected Leader of the LMB is enough and I would donate all and any bonus I may receive to all of Legionworld and throw a massive 7 day celebration. In the end we are all winners and all deserve a piece of the pie.

Thank you for your time.

Wait, I think Vu is suggesting we get pie as well as cake and dinners!!!
Well I'm all for that!!

Seriously though, as a security officer I already have access to large quantities of booze and porn, I really have no need of more.
As for the muffins, I'm still craving the return of Mearl Dox...her muffins were the best and more fun than a space/sun-cannon!!

Civic duty is a virtue. Public service without expectation of reward is noble - and ennobling.

Pie, cake, dinners and muffins are a good idea, if shared by everybody.
