We're getting high winds and rain here in Southern Maine today. They've already evacuated a bunch of homes along the coast, and a number of roads around the area are closed due to flooding. I'm trying to figure out how I'm getting home tonight Good times!

no evacuations where I'm at, but it did snow yesterday (and I'm in TN) so that was odd.
Hope you got home allright.

I'll be blown away no doubt when I venture out this afternoon for a hearing on the Hill. We're at 32 MPH here which is definitely enough to make me consider springing for a cab...

It's maybe 40 mph here now but going up to 65 later and overnight. High tide at 8:30 pm which means a lot of roads could be difficult to navigate. I like a good storm if I don't have to drive in it. And if that old oak tree doesn't come crashing down on the roof.

I remember my mom, who grew up mostly in Massachusetts, talking about Nor'easters. She said if the wind was blowing so that you could see the silvery bottoms of leaves, that meant a Nor'easter was coming. As a confirmed midwesterner, I can't vouch for the veracity of her statement.
...but you don't have a moment where you're sitting there staring at a table full of twenty-five characters with little name signs that say, "Hi, my superpower is confusing you!"

Well the drain on my roof started leaking again. It is right over the kitchen. Good thing the landlord hasn't repaired the hole in the kitchen ceiling yet. I can't say that the landlord hasn't done anything. Before realizing it was where the drain met the roof, the entire roof got redone and some of the drain pipes got replaced.
I have suggested a giant umbrella. Perhaps Batman has one as a souvenier from a case involving the Penguin.

It was ugly enough that I decided to stay off the computer yesterday. No major damage, though.

how do you feel about exciting weather?
Where I live no snow, no hurricanes, no volcanos, no earthquakes, never been traped due to bad weather I get the heat and water restrictions but their just annoying.
