Hey Legion Fans!
Just wanted to introduce me to the crowd - I'm a Legion Fan since my childhood days who lost contact when German superhero books were canceled in the 80s and reestablished contact in the 90s when he was old enough to find, buy and read the english original versions.
I'm a huge fan of the Levitz era - my favorite issue would be Annual #1 with Computo and Jacques Foccart - and I love the controversial Five years later storylines by Keith Giffen. Since Zero Hour, I am not that happy about most of the developments - especially erasing 30+ years of Legion Lore - but I liked the things Abnett and Lanning did.
Not being a big supporter of the "kiddie approach", I did not care for the Reboot kiddie Legion (Waid) and I am quite unsure what to think about the NEW Reboot (WAID AGAIN!). I especially find that the "Underagers" approach is a totally bad idea, considering every Underager has to grow up someday. Oh well...
So I'm here to talk about what other people think about the new book and to share nostalgic feelings about the old times when everything was so much better anyhow :-)
So see you around

Hi Rudiger!
Glad you found your way here to Legion World. You'll find that everyone here is friendly and very helpful and you won't find a more knowledgeable group about the Legion in all it's incarnations anywhere!
Very happy to see another Condo fan on here :chemical king:
Be sure to check out all the various forums and dive right in to the fun. You'll find plenty to do and lots of fan art and fiction from some truly talented people around here.

Hey Legion Fans!
So there is a category for things like this. Duh. Got to find out more about the structure of this board - difficult because with my 56K Modem, the pages take forever to load... okay, so here it comes again in the right category:

Thanks Nightcrawler, off course I don't mind, found out for myself that there WAS an more fitting category -> so maybe somebody is able to ERASE the other thread I just opened :-)
@Vee thanks a lot, nice to meet another Chemical King Fan. For me, the "dead Legionnaires" really had a very special fascination when I was a kid. I really carry the statues of Ferro Lad, Invisible Kid and Condo deep in my heart - somehow, it made the Legion so very special, so real. When I started collecting in the 90s, it was always a special joy to get one of the very few issues with Chemical King in it...

I understand exactly what you mean about those
BTW, don't worry about the other thread. Nightcrawler (or someone else will merge the two threads when they get a moment.

Vielen dank für das herzliche Willkommen, Kent!
Are you a Giffen fan too - or what other reason for taking "Kent Shakespeare" as a nickname could there be?
Oh my, I HAVE to reread the Giffen run soon... if I only had enough time, just right now I'm reading the Essential Avengers books AND my Teen Titans collection...

Welcome Rüdiger! After Garth (Lightning Lad), Condo has always been my favorite character. Great to see another fan of his join up.

There's a Vee-Gates joke in here somewhere, but it's not coming to me.

Welcome aboard - Annual #1 is my favorite too. That one really had it all as far as I'm concerned. I've had a mixed reaction to the Waid/Kitson run, although I am a big fan of Barry's art.
My high school German classes were far to long ago for me to attempt anything here, since I don't think asking you how the soup is today is very useful. Anyway, enjoy yourself here. There are fans here of all the eras of Legion stories from the earliest stories to the most current

Hey Chemical King!
Welcome to Legion World! What fun!
The Levitz era is my favorite era of the Legion. I didn't care for the 5 year stories, but I won't hold it against you (ask Kent)

Welcome aboard, CK! Hope you like it here.
I know what you mean about the dead Legion members. It added an element of drama and genuine sacrifice to the stories that a lot of other comics didn't have.
