It's a little out of my price range this year. Maybe next year...

Last year was a blast... but nay, I'm afraid not.

Between next year's San D and a Faraway wedding, I've gotta save up.

Besides... Arlington is so last year. wink
But seriously, have a good time there for us! Maybe you can get YK, Beagz, Rockhopper and Mearle to team-up.

I think all cons are going to be out of the question for us until we get Caroline's parent's house sold. Our best bet is whatever they (or we) may plan for the Legion's 50th in 2008.

Yeah, I'm definitely going to do it. I can hardly wait to meet everybody. I've only met STU so far, and that was just great, so I'm looking forward to it.

I want to do something decadent like stay at the Coronado. Maybe that won't be possible if it's too far from the con. But I've always wanted to stay there.

While that would be cool, Utah has never had a convention. And I doubt that will change in the near future. Our best bet would be one in Denver.

As much as I'd love to meet up with a couple of the gang it doesn't look likely this year. Lately I've been in and out od the Dallas area on business but it's all been on weekdays and I'll be forked if I'm making the drive down for free on my weekend. Busman's holiday anyone? laugh

I feel so darned slow sometimes, it didn't occur to me last week to try giving Beagz or 'Gazer a call when I was stuck in a hotel with nothing to do but watch HBO and wish I knew where there was something to do.

-Sheesh- drop me a phone number in a PM and I'll see if we can get together for dinner some night in the next few weeks when I get stuck in town on an overnight trip.
k?

It's not far, if you don't mind short walks. Its a five-to ten-min walk to the ferry, a short ride across the bay, and another five-min walk to the Con, as I remember.

I was once checking out a beach house we could rent... but we'd need to commit early, and about 8-to-10 of us would each shell out a $200-ish up front for a full week's rental.

I drove up to Wizard World on Saturday. It was OK.. not to fun with out a gang of Legion Worlders.
I did manage to pick up some issues I was missing. Had Peter David sign my Star Trek New Frontier books. Sat in on the DC panel..nothing new to report. I am concerned that a rumor I heard is that Dallas will not have another one due to attendance of vendors. There were spaces that were labled but no one showed. I guess we will have to see if that happens.
Other than that..it was ok.

has it really been a year already!?

what fun last year was! too bad it was just OK this year. See? You shoulda come to Boston! wink

For me, the fun of both Boston this year and Dallas last year boils down to two words - you guys. Wizard does an OK job at cons, but if not for LWers, only San D would be worth travelling to.
