Hi Legionworlders

I'm not as far away as Oz, but I'm finally back here in Durban, South Africa, and what a trip I have had getting back here.

I cant go into ALL the details, I'm at my mom's work, and if her boss walks in, I am under strict instructions to close everything on the computer and sit under her desk. Great. But I'll tell what I can.

I left London on Saturday, 9th July, with 60kg's of luggage (dont ask!), my flight was via Madrid, so we landed in Madrid at 11:30 at night, had an hour before my flight left from Madrid to Johannesburg, but when I went to fetch my boarding pass, i was told that the flight was over booked. And that they would put me in a hotel for the night, till the next flight to Johannesburg 13 hours later.

So, went all the way to passport control, and was almost arrested because I'm trying to leave the airport, and I dont have a Spanish visa. Although, the policeman was quite hunky, so it wasnt ALL BAD. So, now I cant leave the airport, they told me I'll have to stay in transit in the airport, but I mustnt worry, they'll give me food to eat. I just put my foot down and told them if i missed my flight to Joburg, I'd miss my connecting flight to Durban. So they decided to put me on the priority list for any left over seats.

Once everyone was on the plane, there were seven of us waiting for seats, a man and his two sons got put on, cause they're sister was a hostess, and a young mom was let on with her daughter. I thought great, they're not going to let me on now. But the lady I had been dealing with came up to me, and told me that they had a seat in Business Class, and that they were giving it to me. I was soooooooooo happy.

I was happier when I got on the flight and realised that they had actually put me in First Class. I am NEVER flying economy again!!!!! It was great. I always used to think stuff like that happened to other people. I got the best sleep I have had in a long time.

But, the fun doesnt stop there. When I got to Joburg, I had to unload so much stuff with a friend of mine, her car boot was just full of my things. Thank goodness she will be down in two weeks and i can get it all.

So, now I've just been going out with my friends till the wee hours of the morning. And it's back to looking for work, so that i can study part time.

anyway, that's my news. thought i would post something. My PC, and comics, are on a ship, so I'll only get them in another 3 weeks. But i will definately come and harrass my mom to let me use her work computer. Even if i have to hide under the desk tease

I might live on the butt end of the world, but I get to see the days before anyone else.... mwaahahahahahaha

(I'm no good at evil laughing)

Karie,

Glad you made it safely home. Can't wait until you get your computer back.

That sure sounds like a memorable trip. I hope you get plenty of chances to use your mom's work PC smile

Cheers,

Brian
