I got a new bed over Spring Break - I downsized from a king to a queen sized bed.
Long story short - the king-sized bed should have been tossed out over a year ago. A friend of mine that works for Sealy was selling off factory demos of queen sized beds for $200 - so I got a queen sized bed.
I picked up one set of sheets the day I got the bed. But I like to have MINIMUM of two sets of sheets. That way I can wash 'em and swap 'em out once a week. So I found a pretty good deal at Penny's today for the complete "bed in a bag" thing. It was on sale for $99.99, but when I checked out, it rang up at $69.99. So yeah, I mentioned it to the lady that rang it up. She called for a manager, and the manager came over and asked what was goin' on. So I explained to him that it rang up CONSIDERABLY cheaper than what the sign had.
He rang it up again, and it still came up at $69.99. He told me there was nothing he could do about it, and for me to just check out. Everything would be okay.
*sigh*
I really AM a dork.
