No, Pain Plague was S/LSH 209...
This particular story was around S/LSH 230-something
Jeckie was getting sick a lot back in the day...

Even Abel's inks couldn't completely erase the stylized pencils of Nasser and Sherman, although they DID generic-fy them somewhat.
IIRC, Abel inked some of Nasser's CHALLENGERS stories too... Check out the Sherman, Nasser, and Staton interviews in Legion Companion where they each name Abel as their favorite inker. I have to admit that the originals look much better than what appeared in print (Abel really did know what he was doing). I think Abel only inked Sherman's Challengers stories. Nasser was primarily inked by Rubenstein. In fact, I'm looking at an original Nasser/Rubenstein Challengers splash right now (it's hanging up on my wall over the computer ). Mike

Jeckie was getting sick a lot back in the day... I think the one Lash is referring to is the back-up in SLSH #233 The Last Illusion. Unfortunately my real copy and electronic copy do not contain this story otherwise I'd post an image.

And don't mind the tomfoolery around here recently. Those of us on LW are prone to flights of fancy brought on by something in the water!

It's taking some precious time to get to know everyone here and to navigate through the myriad maze of topics, corners and rooms on this site. This is the first I've seen of this thread and again I'm overwhelmed by everyone's gracious welcome and the fond remembrances of the magic years on the Legion.
I go by Mike or Michael, there are no misters among friends. Would that I could adress everyone's posts individually, but my present internet connections allows for little time on the net. This'll change by next week when I'll be back at the studio and I'm sure we'll have a little more quality time together by then. Thanks to His imperial majesty STU, Invisible Brainiac, Suddenly Seymour, Outdoor Miner, MLLASH, Fat Cramer, Cobalt Kid, Kid Prime, Doctor Mayavale, Lightning Lad, Spellbinder, macrab2, macrab2, Varalent, Quislet Esq ... for the welcome posts on this thread. Words fail to describe how warm you've all made this acquaintance for me.
There is a story idea, for development here together, brewing on the Clubhouse /Legion / Elseworlds Legion: Genesis Millenium thread.
Thanks again, talk soon
Michael

Oops! I haven't stopped in.
Welcome to our (sometimes wacky) community Michael! I look forward to reading your ideas and hopefully seeing some art samples.

The chase is invigorating as it should be. I do hope you good Legionaires will be able to tolerate my own dramas, silly as they may seem.

I can't tell you yet HOW it is that we'll survive but rest assured that The Legion figures very big in the overall scheme of saving the world. Hang in there and remain faithful. Lots of bumps in the road ahead.
